this album is great! it has some amazing slow jams on here as well, which are my favorite. in my opinion 1994 was one of the best years for slow jams 😂 they had so many coming out at the time. thanks so much for sharing this album
Legendary producer Darkchild sent me here when he did his Vlad interview. He mentioned that this was his very first artist he worked with (If You're Ready & Unconditional Love). When I listen to the 1st song Gotta Get To Know Me, I remember jamming to it back in the days. Unfortunately, he also mentioned that she was one of the 9/11 victims who were inside the building. May she continue to Rest in Perfect Peace. 🌹
A lot of evidence points to her possibly still being alive but you would think if she was she would release a statement. Unless she in some type of witness protection.🤔
WOW! 2-13-24 I am just reading/ hearing of her passing away..so sad. The music industry dropped da ball big time on this beautiful Lady with the beautiful voice. I have the song "Why Not Take All Of Me" on a mixed cd of songs and was jamming it today. Another beautiful song bird gone home..may she continue to rest in perfect peace. I hope her family members are doing well at this present time.👍🏼💯💯😎

I love this Album i never heard the whole album back in the 90's. My loss because i should have taken time to listen to it... in my defense tho i played the singles over and over. Take all of me was my favorite. The full album probably wasn't released yet when the single came out because most of the time i listen to the full Album...🤷
This was the time Warner Bros. Records were struggling with how to promote R&B back in the 90's. It's strange because they were a powerhouse in that genre while releasing classics from the 70's and 80's.
Benny Medina was in charge of the Warner Brothers R&B/hip hop departure and from what I remember was not good at promoting new artists. It's a shame a lot of great talent got barely any exposure. Benny definitely dropped the ball.

Keep in mind: He was also overseeing Warner subsidiaries such as Cold Chillin' and Tommy Boy. The real issue was Warner was usually late to the party when it came to changes in R&B and hip hop music. This has been going on long before Benny got there. If anything, he righted the ship and things went downhill after he left due to the success of "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air".
