    I just found your channel and I love your teaching style...not too slow, not too fast and you are very thorough in your explanations. I have been crocheting since I was 10 years old but always love trying new stitches and using all these beautiful new yarns on good old standbys and your ideas are fresh and new. Thank you for sharing your talent and ideas. You are a wonderful teacher!

    I tried to follow another video for a 12 point star and had to abandon it on row 5 (which was giggles and a lot of "you know" [which I clearly do not] and not explaining or showing the next steps).
    I'll be ripping that sample and starting over with you.
    As one Robin to another, I really enjoy your directions & explanations.
    Thank you for saving my sanity.

    Love that pattern and the yarn is gorgeous. For me the best part of this tutorial is you are not filling in the silence with music. It is my one pet peeve that instructors have to play music. Thank you for that. Love your channel. I have some horizon yarn in colour # 19 and # 02. Both are beautiful colours. Can't decide which one to use.

      OH😮MY😯GOSH!!!😲 WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!!! I have been on a hunt for the perfect and just right 👌🏻tree skirt nearly as long as I have been old enough to have my own tree. If theyre beautiful and I really like one its too damn expensive, and if its a good price , I dont think its very pretty. Then I decide which one to settle on all the while during Christmas and right after being generally underwhelmed.
      (Tree skirt selection is a job I takecVERY SERIOUSLY......as you can see from above 😅🤣)
      HOWEVER !!!☝🏻 Due to your genius modification, that can now be something I think of in past tense.
      DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS Means?!?!
      ~yes of course you do, this was YOUR IDEA after all remember?
      I CAN NOW HAVE CUSTOM TREE SKIRTS IN THE COLORS, PATTERNS AND TEXTURES! Literally right down to ghe stitces that make it up. This is a game changer folks. This also means I am guaranteed to love my tree skirt every year from now on...cuz if i dont i just start again. You have saved the day..no ypu saved Christmas. Forever. And for THAT I will be forever thankful 🙏🏻 🙌🏻 😌 💕 More than you could ever know. ❤️🙏🏻
      Now having said all that..just one more tiny minute detail;
      CAN I USE YOUR IDEA TOO!?!
      🤣🤣🥰🥰

      I came into the comments to check if I could do this specifically with Mandala Baby Yarn (mine's Acre Woods), and I'm so glad yours was the first comment I came across, as I now know I can do it in that yarn 😊
      I started one on Wednesday but a different pattern (still a 12 pointed star) and, at round 30, it's bunched up terribly in the middle and I have to fight with it to flatten, but I'm going to frog it and try this pattern instead 😁

    So lovely! Those colour changes are quite stunning. I’m currently working on a 10 points star Blanket. It has got so big that I have currently 40 stitches from point to valley!!! Each round takes absolute ages to do, especially the BPDC row! But the whole thing has become so...habitual that I can watch a movie (or crochet videos 😉) while I work. So enjoyable. I change colour after each ball of yarn, keeping the same value.
    Thank you for another brilliant tutorial! ❣️🌹🇳🇿

    Hi Robin…I had asked a question about stitch count just a couple of days ago & I got that answered & figured out. Just wanted to let you know that this pattern & video of yours is the only 12-point star blanket that I have been able to successfully follow & get the right number of points to come out right. I have tried about half dozen other videos for this blanket pattern (sans ridge) & was not successful with any of them. I am truly grateful for this video from you as I now have a 12-point star blanket that I can make!

I struggled with other tutorials for similar blankets because I am not changing color but am also using a cake and also because some do not clearly explain where the hook should go, etc…. Finally with your video everything made sense and everything is working correctly! I also love how you put quick links to key points of the videos. Love this. I wanted to make a rug by using the 12 point star. Normally I watch before to make sure I know what I'm doing as I normally work with UK terms. But there is so much detail with this. Looking forward to trying this 💜

    Currently making round ripple number lost count at how many I've done but never seen it done like this and definitely think I need to try it this way!

      Do I increase as the blanket gets bigger ??

    • @ZebraKitten
      @ZebraKitten 2 года назад +1

      @@emaleeaceto3761 when you do a regular round ripple you repeat rounds 7, 8 and 9 (if I remember rightly) and 2 out of the 3 rounds are increase rounds. You increase in the points. It actually grows pretty quickly.

    I absolutely love this pattern you shared. Your work is amazing. Each of your stitches are alike. You must have been crocheting a long time, maybe not quite as me over 50 years. But usually I work with size 10 crochet cotton. I have made any afghans in years. So again thank you for sharing this gorgeous pattern.
