You don't understand... About 1 year ago I found this video. I started doing KeyBR for about 15 minutes a day for 4 months. I started out at around 70 wpm average, kinda typing the correct way, but with my own variation to it. An entire year later, I'm still doing KeyBR and using other websites to improve my typing speed. I've gone from 70wpm average up to 120wpm average in under 9 months.
I seriously recommend doing KeyBR for a while, it will literally change your life lol

Idk if he mentioned it or not, but for capitals and the symbols, use the shift that is opposite to the key you want to press. Saves so much time and allows you stay in the same position when you're typing. For example, you want to do capital A, don't do left shift capital A, do right shift capital A. Also if you're typing really fast and make a mistake with a lot of letters after it and have to redo the whole word, instead of pressing backspace 5 times, do ctrl backspace. 5 keystrokes vs 2, which do you think would be faster.

How to get better at typing:
    1. Dont use flat keys.

Honestly I feel like I’m better when typing with membrane keyboards more, since I’m more used to them. I got a mechanical keyboard around 6 months ago, and while it’s nice, it can be hard to type because of the spacing between the keys
Tbh the best way to learn how to type faster is just practice. I never even tried yet I can type 85wpm on average since I just type a lot

I have been using a keyboard for so long I remember where every key is.
I don't even use asdf technique. I place my left hands fingers on shift, a, w and d ( gamer pose ) and then for my right hand n/j, i o and pinky finger is just free to do what it wants.
This is usually how I start typing but my fingers sometimes go all over the place but it still works for me.
EDIT: I forgot to tell my wpm. It's around 90 and 100.

I agree that learning on Keybr and practicing on 10fastfingers is a really effective method.
Though I am not agreed on the limiting side, there's actually no real limit on how fast you can type.
Often time there will be roadblocks which will make you think that you've hit the limit of yourself but keep practice on that level for some days and you're through.

You are right! Before I watched this video, I would look at my keyboard and have my fingers there and I was at 45-50 WPM and then after I didn't look at the keyboard, a few month or weeks later, I get 60 WPM average. Also, my favorite typing website to use is nitro type. You should try it out.

The basic typing layout for US keyboards is called QWERTY -- top left letters on the keyboard. Another famous layout is DVORAK. The fingers get to move less with it and if you never touch other people's computer it makes a lot of sense.

First step in learning how to type. Typing classes won't allow you to look either. Best class for anyone to take in school, especially these days! Soon you'll be at 70-80 wpm like myself. This is after no typing after 1 year as well. Been using a stylus pen. :-)

Unless I missed something, the normal, universal way of typing is using a QWERTY keyboard which has a home row of ASDF that you seemed very fond of repeating. Also this keyboard was designed to accommodate the poor design of early typewriters so that the letters would not get jammed during rapid typing. There are other keyboards with a more logical design for speed in the context of letter location and modern digital word processing such as it is today. Were you referring to one of those and just calling it ASDF? Or were you just referring to touch typing as opposed to hunt and peck?

    go for TypingMaster
