Great remarks about Luton Sean, thank you
To be fair to gomes, the bad injury destroyed his career. It was very unfortunate and it can set a player back as it has with him. Dont forget the game at anfield a few years ago when klopp said the red noses couldnt get near him. Good luck to him wherever he goes.
Well good draw 1 points but well played tough game today hopefully will need to beat Sheffield United next Saturday my last home of the season.....
That's a decent point 💙
t shirt and shorts on a friday night, expect him to wear that on a cold day at goodison next year as well
Good straightforward manager
That block from Townsend at the end 😮😮😮
After that incredible week when we secured our Premier League status with three great consecutive home wins, it was an ok performance.
One suggestion. We could now in our last two games try to build our attacks in more varied ways.
At Luton imo we relied too much on Pickford's long upfield kicks. Being superb in the air, DCL was many times at the end of them, but as we seldom won the second ball, we lost the possession too easily too many times.
We could now "experiment" or practise building more from the back and through midfield using short passing game.
Saying "experiment" because now it would not be in any way "fateful" even if it would in some case lead us conceding.
Would get our players more used to that method going to the next season.
Mate, we have to play to our strengths.
Our best option (for now) is to continue with what is working.
I'm in a minority I suppose, but I'd rather see us win playing unattractive football, than see us lose playing like Brazil.
@@pleasantville4529 You are spot on! That's why I wrote that we could, when after all, our results are not right now a matter of "life and death", try to play more short passing football.
Of course we must play for our pride and for the integrity of the league, too, but nevertheless, in these last two games we have left, we could try more that "Brazilian way".😀
Martinez tried doing that and all the crowd did was get on John Stones back. Managers can't win most of the time.
I can't get past the fact that as a child he would've been the living embodiment of Bobby Hill.
Swap Gomes for Barkley. Gomes barely broke a sweat and was terrible. Barkley left it all on the pitch. Well played Everton professional performance
Luton deserved to win. Fair credit to SD for acknowledging that.
It shows we don't want to get beat is all he had to say
NFFC ❤

Gomes wtf? No pace, can’t control the ball, can’t pass the ball, get rid asap. UTFT
Gomes was awful.
