@MrsShadowBroker The Cosworth engine is an option on the R500. However, to get 280 bhp out of it would take some work...Maybe even a supercharger. I will ask Minister about whether it is possible to squeeze that much out. The real advantage of the Cosworth option is the torque, not the horsepower. Way better than the standard Duratec.
@MrsShadowBroker No, the SP300 uses a super-charged version of the 2 liter Duratec. The Cosworth version of the engine is 2.3 liters (stroked). It has much higher torque but a slightly lower bhp rating, mainly because Cosworth is be more honest about the dyno results.
What was the engine upgrade in the R300? Seems to pretty much keep up with the R500. Perhaps because the R300 is carrying more speed out of the turns...
@MrsShadowBroker Buying an R400 ready for track and putting in the Cosworth engine might be the best way to go. The MOG guys (in Germany) would be the right folks to ask about this. They have helped me a lot upgrading the brakes and suspension on my car. Minister helped me with the engine.
@MrsShadowBroker Pretty amazing if true...My Minister-built Cosworth engine produces 260 bhp...Would interesting to find out what he has in there...Also, looks to me like the R500 actually might have more straight-line speed...Just out of shape...
R300 has the legs on the straights, I’d expect the r500 to disappear, regardless of corner speeds. More likely both R300’s, white either badly driven or setup badly.

The White Caterham seriuously needs some geometry set up it handles like a V6 Vectra!

@MrsShadowBroker 280 bhp??? From what?
Try slowing down your car before your turning. Your backing off mid corner making your car light scrubbing off to much exit speed.
02:05 strange wheel grasp for a caterham driver, I'll be honest
:) wos is da r500
