I think many people are confused why didn't say America, the truth is that America fought with the groups that were against the democracy (that they have put). America didn't poke their noses in local people and their cultures, so that might be the reason. Also when they left they didn't create chaos. And soon in couple months, the taliban gain power and the peace was there. So people I guess didn't like constant fighting, America was however fighting with the other groups. Not the Afghan people and their culture, so this may be the reason why there are not so many resentment against America.

It's interesting that many people say that their favorite country is the USA, even though the USA invaded Afghanistan and the Afghan people have suffered a lot as a result of US involvement in their country's affairs. They also harbor a dislike for another country, Pakistan, for similar reasons.
