In the second half we focused on taking away the shorter routes (like we should have done in the beginning because when we forced teams to look deep it buys more time for our DL to get to the QB - That is when we've looked dominate) and their offense caved. When we focused on taking away the shorter routes we have been GREAT on defense something I wish Manny would continue to do. TAKE AWAY THE SHORT ROUTES playing man to man with short zones mixed in to confuse the offense like we did it vs VT and ND but for some unknown reason Manny switched up the focus to guarding deeper routes (don't understand why) and we got shredded underneath.
