Your puppy reminded me of my grandfather's puppy, Sam. Sam passed away probably 20 years ago and my grandfather passed 21 years. These are happy memories. We never know the small, unintentional ways we can effect people. Thank you so much for sharing your home and creativity w us.

Another idea for a xmas tree skirt, would be a cardboard box. Faux finish the outside, paint it white first, and use brown acrylic paint to give it a faux finish barn wood look. The urban outffitter paper (if tea stained) would also make a good 'map' because of the way it looks. I, too, have white trees that I bought last yr, after my green faux tree died after many, many yrs of use. I only use reflective decorative items on my white trees.
X-mas pillows on the porch bench would also be nice, in the red & white color, or red traditional red and green color.

Your trees are already next level! For me, there can never be too many lights. I mix different styles of lights on each tree, as long as the temperature/ tone/color matches and they blend well. I want everything glowing for the dark, gloomy days of Dec.

GAW-JESS! Great ideas. I thought of another mid-century modern ornament you might appreciate: blow balloons up to desired ornament size, dip string in starch and wrap around balloons, being sure to crisscross the string. When starch has dried, pop the balloons and remove. Spray paint as desired. Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅☃️

Your balanced and inventive esthetic adapts so well to different applications. Your trees each have their unique personality and are equally stunning in their own way. I have really been looking forward to this, and it was definitely a treat. I am not usually a fan of itty bitty anything, but your tiny tree is genius and won my cold, cold heart. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and that 2024 brings you the wider recognition you so richly deserve. Give Her Majesty the Queenie a biscuit from Uncle D!

Loved seeing all your unique ideas come together. Each tree had it's own beautiful personality that truly worked! I liked how the colors popped off the white tree. I was thinking it could use some more colorful kitchy ornaments like Kathleen illustrated made from colored paper recently. Back in the day, people would cut strips from colorful soda pop cans to make similar elongated armillary ornaments. Sorry if I'm always blathering ideas at ya, side effect of you inspiring my creativity train of thought ( off the rails , crazy train😹). But you did ask for specific ideas on the white tree...😻

They would be cool conversation pieces on a coffee table if anyone didn't want to make them into ornaments.
Also, i make a lot of art with old books. I don't feel bad about taking the books apart. Better to make new items from them than throw them away!
I enjoy all your videos. Look forward to many more as long as you are inspired!

In our family it always, your tree your rules. We are all different. My eldest sister is very traditional, my next sister has a very modern tree and is very minimalist and me, well I have decorations everywhere. The stand for my miniature tree broke so I found a nice size pot plant and stuck it in that, works well for me. Might steal the wooden blocks idea and put photos of my grandkids to hang on there trees.

WOW just wow, I would be hard pressed to tell you which tree is the prettiest, at first I was all about the white tree then I saw the green tree and both of them are absolutely stunning for different reasons. The little tree is sweet and suits the space. The white tree is screaming mid century and I adore mid century, the green tree says to me romance and a comforting time gone by vibe. I can hardly wait until, the next episode. FYI I’m looking forward to seeing you create more original artwork.

Hi Andrew. Glad the Nutcracker went well, even if you had to shave! Love the little tree, it is so quaint. I decorated a white tree several years ago. I used only two colors, green and blue. Both were similar in tone but varied in size and shape. They really popped against the white tree and white lights. I thought with the laundry basket you might have wrapped the interior with a beautiful paper or piece of fabric. Then you would almost have a trellis look going. Enjoy the holidays!

I think the big picture with the reclining lady could have been cool to place on a chain of blocks, keeping the images contiguous down/around the chain, so it's broken up but still recognizable. Plus some playfulness with the idea that it might wind up looking a bit like one of the features they tend to have on playgrounds with the spinning blocks

You are a creative force to be reckoned with. Since graduating fashion school I've been burnt out and not into art at all, but your DIYs have helped me just try things again and I feel so much better! Creative and a little more fulfilled. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us! Also, I love your folks being a part of your art.

I love the idea of a decorated tree for the porch - is that a southern thing or an Andrew thing?

I think that is more of a me thing haha - although the historic homes around me go CRAZY with holiday decor so my tree and string of lights seems mild 😂 I mostly opted to do the tree on the porch since that is an attractive and finished space - whereas my living room and entry are still construction zones 🫠

Forget the coffee or tea..I'm halfway through and thinking I need a Negroni or Bellini. LOL...I'm thinking the coffee stirrer glue up was too a bit EXTRA for me! Looks great tho. Happy Holidays Andrew. PS...Who doesn't like a lot of tassels? 🤩

Your trees are beautiful and filled with so much creativity and inspiration! I love the whole focus of everything you do - reusing and repurposing unloved and under appreciated items. Merry Christmas to you and your lovely parents and of course, Queenie! ❤ 🎄 🎉

I'll never ever understand fake plastic trees (of any kind). Sorry, I'm Scandinavian, if it's not a real tree, Christmas is fine without a tree, you can always put lights on your garden trees or shrubs, make a real evergreen swag or wreath.
There's is no reason for the ugly plastic junk.
