  • TVS ran a "Late Night Late" slot for a while in the late 80s, with presenters running links, in this case between the Joan Collins movie "Nutcracker" and "Off the Wall". This is a good example of the sort of high brow content southern viewers were treated to.

    I loved Laura Penn on Late Night Late, you wouldn't get Granada doing the guess the leg competition.
    Unlike some ITV Regions, TVS really embraced all night television.
    A Great find, I hope you have more.

      +KEITHMU three or four so far, will likely find more as we've only got up to late 87-early 88 on our biggest VHS collection.

      Yes they did too. Whether Southern would have showed this sort of thing if they had been going then who knows, but TVS sure did though. I am not sure either whether Meridian later on did though?
