After watching this video yesterday I had to go buy 3 of them. I'm one of those that buy one of every brand and never heard of this rod until watching this video yesterday I definitely was intrigued to purchase them. Great videos!
I never thought I’d hear you talk bout these. Every time I go there “I’m under 50 miles away from them” I always see em but I never thought bout getting one.
@@ChattCats wow....I use the Berkley Big Game 8ft pole w/ a Tiger reel not to fond of the reel but it does the job...caught around a 40lbs Flathead..that rod is tuff.......
I have two of these rods i purchased after watching this. Ive had them for about 3 months and love them. My only downfall is the plastic piece that screws down to hold the reel in place on one of my rods is slipping and doesnt tighten down like it should. It was like that from day one. Any tips or ideas on how to fix that problem. I really wish those were made from stajnless bc its honestly the only downfall to the rod i have found!
It depends on what kind of catfish you are targeting; however, when I anchor fish I like to use the Nite Sticks. They hold up well when fighting a fish in current. If you are fishing from the bank in some current then I would use a thicker rod around 6-7 feet. If you are targeting smaller fish the you should be fine with any rod. I would use at least 15-20 lb on main line when fishing from the bank or from a boat.
H2o express bait rod are 15$ man I got 10 the 7’6 with a Garcia 6500c u can’t beat them I got them in the striper boat caught big cats and stripers on them I pulled in some 60 to 70 pound fish with no problem
Chatt Cats Fishing they good cut bait rods 1 piece rods there yellow I think there easy see at night it just affordable rod that does pretty good but ugly stick I bet I got 100 catfish and stripers ugly stick rods I love em
Amen everyone complains about how many fishing rods I have but I buy fishing rods like women buy shoes I love them and I take care of and still are always on the lookout for new rods great video thank you
I saw Wal-Mart has ugly stick catfish rods for $29 too. They had glow is the dark guides which I thought was cool. I think I'll go with one of those eventually.
I always tell everyone that the American Spirit is probably the best bang for your buck rod out there. I would suggest bumping up to the Pro model for a few bucks more. It's a great rod.
Nice video! had me sold on the rod pretty much!! The two peace though has me a none buyer!! I just dont have much luck with them staying together. Not sure why but its always a problem for me. Keep them coming your growing fast bud!!
This thing is sick

Thanks! Those rods never fail.
What would you call the lure weight?
What size baitcasting reel should I use on this rod?
I would think most catfishing reels will be fine.
I never thought I’d hear you talk bout these. Every time I go there “I’m under 50 miles away from them” I always see em but I never thought bout getting one.
Very good rods!
What's the biggest catfish you caught on that pole...
90 lbs

Put a zip tie around the reel seat of the rod. That should secure it more in place.
Would you recommend a bigger/thicker rod for bank fishing as well as anchor fishing?

How wide across the butt section would you guess, an inch or so? On the blue stripe one.
Yes, 1"
I bought a few big rod/reel combos at wally world for $17.98 each, how does this compare to those? These were the big rods not the smaller ones.
Those will work! I like the ugly sticks.

do have any good rods that use spinning reels and are affordable and great for catfish
Nite Sticks have rods for spinning reels. You can also go with ugly sticks. They are great too!
Chatt Cats Fishing thank you
Rods are $80 following the Amazon link, figures
Inflation.
Good setup but I would go with the ugly stick combo tried and true and you can buy them anywhere.

I definitely love the American spirit rods for the money.
I always tell everyone that the American Spirit is probably the best bang for your buck rod out there. I would suggest bumping up to the Pro model for a few bucks more. It's a great rod.
I'll check it out!
Dude love your videos awesome work
Also I want ask what line you use and what weight size is best on them rods
I use monofilament line (anywhere between 30-50 lb main test). I use anywhere between 4-8 oz sinkers
Thanks
We’re can I get these rods from
www.catfishconnection.com/
Good video! 🖒
Thanks!
I use Catfight rods which are built on the American Spirit Procat Trophy 7'6" blank. Awesome rods!
hey can tht rod loose in two plz make a video
Is that available to ship to India.?
Hmm, not sure. It's worth checking into. Go to www.catfishconnection.com to see what their international shipping policies are. Tight lines!
What is the lure weight range on these rods?
1-3 oz.
Would this Rod work with Cod and Haddock?
Sure!
I'm not really targeting a certain size of catfish I'm just going for whatever will bite. I usually use live bait or night crawlers
Using a 6-7' rod will work. I would spool the reel with 20 lb monofilament line
They ain't that cheap anymore. I bought 2 10 foot rods for like 89$ a piece american spirit
Wow!

I use Tiger Strike rod with spinning reels some have spin casting like the Zebco 606 for catfish also. I have also caught alligator gar on them.
How much weight do you typically use on that nite stick in heavy current?
Depends on the current...I typically use 6-8 oz in heavy current.
The eye inserts pop out. Would not own one. Junk
It gets the job done. I've had a lot of big fish from those rods.
Does your wife fish
Every now and then :-)
