I want to try to explain the dodging mechanic. You actually have to time it right for the Dodge to actually take place. You will know if you get the timing right, because it is a different animation to dodge. If you have a successful Dodge and aim at that moment, you can get critical shots in.
Good Friday morning to you with your beginning RE3 with my morning coffee and donuts and this is gonna be great have a wonderful weekend and thank you awesome Sam.☕👋🍩
The good news is that the original RE trilogy is now available on PC because of GOG. So if you're interested, you can play that one as well and compare the RE3 Remake to the OG RE3. Graphically, the remake is better, but the original RE3 is overall better.
This is the shortest game in the main RE series, anyone could finished it in five hours or less in their first playthrough. It is shame that several areas, puzzles and extra content form OG RE3 were cut for this remake. As you already finished RE2 just wanna let you know that Claire also appears in other two games; Resident Evil Code Veronica (which is the direct sequel to RE2) and RE Revelations 2. Code Veronica has an interesting story but unfortunately this game does not has a remake yet.
!!!Sam shoot the red barrels they explode and break the wooden boxes for items if you weren’t aware. Also if you dodge right before enemy grabs you, you perfect dodge and time briefly slows down. Pressing aim during that period will lock your reticle on enemies head automatically for precise shots. Sorry if you didn’t want someone to tell u that. I just figured i would offer you aid.
Hey Sam, good to see you're onto this one now. I really liked how they did remake Carlos, he has some nice one liners. The Jill and Carlos voice and mocap actors also play characters in RE8 so you'll probably recognise the voices when you get to that game.
The combination to the safe are the 3 red numbers on the wall in the drug store.. a little tip too when you start encountering the nemesis shoot his spark on his chest it'll drop item boxes grenades and the red barrows will do it as well.. the Nemesis he's worse then Mr. X
I'm glad you're having fun with this game. It gets a lot of hate from fans of the original, and I 100% understand that (I grew up with the OG trilogy). But Capcom listened to the fans and smashed the RE4 remake out of the park after this. They aren't going to ReReMake this one so we might as well enjoy what we got. It's not bad as it's own thing. It's quite good when not compared to the OG so you're in a good place. It was lame that it was full price at release since it's so short but if you got it on sale then it's not so bad there now either. Hope you enjoy the rest of it, Sam.
The game is indeed pretty short. Even on a first playthrough, you can easily get through in 8-10 hours. But it's meant to be replayed because you can unlock things to help speedrun the game. For example, you can unlock the bolt cutters early and cut out all that backtracking.
Excited to see you play this. Hot take, but I actually prefer this game over RE2 remake. xD But original RE3 is one of my favorites in the whole series and Jill's one of my favorite characters, so maybe I'm a BIT biased? I just really enjoy how cinematic this game is. Feels like it never stops moving.
Hey Sam, now that you're up to RE3 I think that you should consider playing Code Veronica. I know that you only have a pc and no consoles but there are a couple of emulators you can use to play it. There's Dolphin emulator (for the GameCube version) or RPCS3 (for the PS3 HD re-release). I'm only recommending this because there's a few story elements in Code Veronica that are further built on in the next trilogy of games.
Well there is a reason why among all the recent RE games and remakes, its the worst selling and reviewed one lol even compared to the previous remake of RE2 this one is pretty bad, shorter, the puzzles and locations are uncreative and generic in comparison, Nemesis encounters were nerfed into mostly cinematics after the beginning of the game, long etc.
I have to agree with most people after I played this remake I didn’t play it again after I beat it. Most my games is digital download on the PlayStation. It’s a decent game for someone who isn’t as invested in the originals. Good action. Just wasn’t my cup of tea. The most underrated resident evil game is is definitely code Veronica and if u liked Claire? She’s the main character on code Veronica. Which takes place after resident evil 2. Bare in mind Samantha resident evil 3 actually takes place before Leon and Claire come to Raccoon City. So really the order would be resident evil 3 then 2 afterwards lol.
I love the remakes, 3 is a bit lackluster than 2 remake, but it's still fun lol the original will always be better to me anyway, least they waited a bit to show nemesis, this games cool, but Capcom blew they're load to soon with nemesis.. lol Also make good use of that dodge ;)
I’m an oddball but I’m one of the few that absolutely loves RE3R over the original. The reason I hate the original so much, mainly because of the puzzles, especially the music one, man I hate that puzzle. Anyhow that’s why I was happy when they finally removed it from the remake, but I will admit it does suck that we get an overall much shorter game in the remake. I don’t know they could’ve swapped out all those needless puzzles for more combat and sections, especially in a game that has Nemesis and all. RE3R is one of those things where you have the bad and the good from the original.
They removed the park ( cool boss worm fight) , the clocktower, jill's police station run and turned nemesis into scripted fights, no longer chases you through the whole city and shorten his appearance by tuning him into a dog mid way. Prob a lot more missing than what i said too.
Ya know at Jill's apartment at the start there was one more thing you missed on her wall: JILL'S REPORT of the 1998 mansion incident! See you don't look hard enough for things.
Also I didn't liked Jill in this remake, she had a more charismatic personality in the OG RE3 as well as in the RE1 remake, here she was giving the "modern rude girl boss" treatment and she came as unlikable to me, she was written much better in the previous games even in RE5.
It's not that bad a game on its own, it's just that people who played the original were understandably disappointed in how they removed and changed so much
@@danielpeckham5520Kind of like RE5. If it wasn't an RE game then it would be universally considered as a very good game. But due to the heavy expectations of being the followup to RE4 it was always going to be held to higher expectations, so it gets looked at as a bad game even though it really isn't.
Me screaming as she's shooting around the red barrels! Use that knife also.
This was released during an actual outbreak in the real world.
No way! From long long ago?? Tell us the story!
31:40 I like how you're reacting to a zombie as if someone tickled you from behind

13:13 Yes that was Brad in the first game. He is STARS alpha team helicopter pilot.

Claire is back in Resident Evil Revelations 2, which is also a great game in the series.
The good news is that the original RE trilogy is now available on PC because of GOG. So if you're interested, you can play that one as well and compare the RE3 Remake to the OG RE3. Graphically, the remake is better, but the original RE3 is overall better.
If the map is highlighting a crate that mean you can break it to see if there extra ammo and health herbs.
Pro-tip: Any time you see a red barrel in a video game, it's explosive. Shoot it when there's lots of enemies nearby.

Soon as I posted this I see she shoots the box lol. Ok ignore me 😛
MÊLÉE the yellow crates to destroy and reveal random items!! Like the yellow crate where you picked up the first herbs and gun powder.
Sam the yellow boxes have items you can break them

Excellent excited to see this through!
The red oil drums explode if you shoot them.
Despite what people say, and its warranted and the fact capcom did remove content that was in the original it’s still a good game.
Awesome!! Can't wait🎉

Let's goooo! I'm excited for this, I've been on board since I found your playthrough of RE1 original :D

Great effort Sam with your beginning start of RE3 remake! Please make use of the dodge mechanic whenever you can🍿🍵
Good luck and have fun. You missed reading jills whiteboard which has a lot if info on it. You can only read it in third person
I love your videos ❤ see more of your videos
That sparking box with green light, you could have shot it and temporarily electrocuted/stunned the zombies around it.

Yay gogogo Jill, best girl! And Sam ofc ❤
I know you already Haven Been noted, but also check out The wooden boxes and metal suitcases 😮😅.

Yes! I second this opinion. 🥳
I would turn film grain off in settings for a clearer image but it’s up to you
43:25 aaaaaahhhhhh.......!

Lol if she playes re7 she gonna come back and notice that small cameo

I love this game! It's so good when there isn't someone standing over you trying to convince you it's bad.

42:18 for anyone who's wondering.
I hope you like this game sam, I do you play resident evil a lot? I do like this game, but a lot of people said it was disappointed. Jill is hot.

Please play resident evil 7!!!

That even includes over RE4, that says a lot because that’s my second favorite.
Original is much better
