It doesn't look like he used a pedal. The Dual Dark has four stages of tube gain so it doesn't need a boost pedal. I think that's why the cost of the Dual Dark on the used market is so high.

I have this amp and in all honesty,this is one of the greatest, most powerful sounding amps I have ever touched.
Some say a tube screamer does wonders on this amp but it sounds pretty good as is
This would be the perfect amp for my Christian death metal/metalcore style of playing!!! Super tight sounding 2,499 well worth the money for this amp
