The sqeak is from smooth leather rubbing on smooth leather. Sometimes it goes away with wear and sometimes it doesnt. Gluing the insole down could help but if its not all the way glued down it could still squeak. U can try roughing up the two faces of leather that touch with sand paper and see if that clears it up.
You can also make your own removable insoles with cork. Select the thickness you need, measure using an existing insole, cut with a knife. They are very comfortable.
I will tell you something which is very specific to me! I don't feel a leather to be real leather until I hear the "squeak"😊 For example, watch some of the videos of Morrison Made RUclips channel, he makes some really high quality leather items, my favourite being leather belts. Just notice how much the leathers squeaks! That sound is like like quality to my ears! Hahaha.... that's just me.
You could rub the bottom of the insoles with sandpaper to make them rough on smooth instead of smooth on smooth or maybe even just a little bit of conditioners on the bottoms could make them mold to the little indents faster to stay in place so it does not squeak.
Looks like a nice leather. Won't be able to buy since they don't have my size (eu38). Monkey boots are designed to fit more feet dimensions (Adidas Stan Smith sneakers are like that) so the tongue is that way. You can get a cobbler to tack the tongue if you want.
The thing is they actually have Damping Latex memory foam topped with a thin layer of Genuine Leather for the removable insole. The thick veg tan insole you got with your boots is custom for you mayb just for the review! If you not specifically asked for it. Must have swapped it because the screws will cause pain if you don't use thick insole
I have a pair of Allen Edmonds lace to toe boots that look very similar. I believe they were made in Dominican Republic and no longer available from AE. How would you compate the C&G boots to the AE?
Do you have some recommandation for good European Boots (Brands) for Service and rugged Boots, Work Boots (like the Iron ranger). Should be Not to expansive ?
Not positive, but I think the reason those other boots didn’t have a midsole is because they’re an iron ranger knockoff. I’d be shocked if any of their boots couldn’t be made with a midsole on request.
1st! Nice video i've skipped through it but i think you have made a typo in the title. and those boots are not my cup of tea. the laces start way too low
Funny you should mentions this. My Wesco’s inserts did this after my I cleaned up with saddle soap.

😢@@YouShoe-1985 did you get to stop squeaking
@@frankgonzalez3822 I did. I just uploaded a video explaining how I did it.
I'm curious about the internal components.
If they had leather, shank and cork, I'm sure it would be touted in the description.
Fantastic review
@@M1_u thanks!!

Don’t think that’s the case, I bought a pair and they give you options on insole. You can choose to get thick leather insole.
@@paulyu7739 That's what I said 'unless you specifically asked for'
Because the foam sole is the one you get stock with their boots
Yes yes oh yes yesh oh yesh yess good good yes boot yess
Great review. To stop the squeak put a dryer sheet in between.
@@rir9005 interesting idea. Will need to try
Hmmm...well besides the fact that their boots resemble other companies' styles (almost too much), they do look like nice quality boots for the price.
I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago. 😉
@@gillian32 you won’t regret it.

@@alishka5070 yes I like the boots a lot. Not perfect but good for the price.

At this point o don’t have any experience with European brands but if I do ever get a pair I will make sure to document it.
What about Urban Shepherd Boots?

@@riverpower9402 yeah
I’ve always wanted to own a pair of monkey boots, but the lack of a gusseted tongue in this one is really a deal breaker for me. 😑
Condition the insole.

no Mid sole and look under the insole 4 sweers holding the heal stack no thanks I will stay away

Please don't put your boots in your cup of tea. Better to wear those in your feet.
