Did this about 15 yrs ago on my Softail, cleans it up Bigtime!!
🤙🤙
Got my exile throttle installed perfectly thanks to this video!! Thanks for outlining all the steps that were a bit confusing on the instructions!
Hell yeah stoked it helped you out dude!
Intro shot of the shop is badass!! What a sweet setup. Another solid video man. Very informative.
Thanks for checking it out homie!!
This how to vid is better than any other installation video ever !!
Thanks man! let us know if there are any other HOW TO topics you want us to cover
awesome video boys!!! I may have to go pick up one of these Exile units myself.
Concrete Wave Magazine ya man they are pretty sweet, let us know if you have any questions along the way with the install. 🤘🏼
Got the exile internal throttle on my deluxe. Works good. I tried their internal clutch cable too. Its junk. If you want an internal clutch too, get a hydraulic setup and fish the line through. Obviously do the brake too. Its tricky but doable. And worth the work. Great video
Absolutely agree. You hit the nail on the head brotha
This is a very informative video. I really enjoyed watching your explanation on how ar
you articulate every step. Keep up the great work!
Mr Joe thanks for checking out the video dude! Stay tuned for more 🤙🏼
Thanks for the vid guys... It would be nice to see the finished result off the lift. I'm thinking about one of these but wonder how much it is really going to clean up the bars w the master cylinder/switch housings still there. A nice still or walk around of fully assembled finished product would be awesome for any install vid!
Stay tuned for the upcoming wheel 2 wheel episode on this bike!
Oh wow! Thanks so much guys!! Totally didn't expect this! You guys are legends, this helps so much! I'm going to install my exile kit this weekend for sure
Anything you need bro!
Cheers for that.
Thanks for checking it out dude!
Good video and much help. What do you do with the original throttle cable / start / blinker assembly? Or what do you replace it with?
we reused the existing one for that clean finish
I ordered this kit, and this video is invaluable. THANK YOU GUYS!! I do have one question - how did you attach the grip to the throttle assembly? Did you glue / epoxy it on there?
We drilled and tapped set screws into the grips.
We did them upside down in the video so people could see the way it is done. (Then we swapped them to freshies).
Didn’t quite catch what you meant by the inner wire cable length before u cut it
which part didn't you catch exactly? I could further explain. We did this all kinda' inverted to be able to show everything on camera.
Thanks a lot, well done. Sounds pretty straightforward forward How about the Clutch side????
🤙🤙 what about it ?
These are cool but as you showed right at the beginning of the vid, the throttle return is destroyed when you remove the second cable.
I ran a stronger spring on my throttle body for this setup and it returns perfectly!
Yup. But most carbs have spring loaded gates so you can usually remove the return cable anyways. (as most do). To clean up the bar appearence.
Hey brothers. Does this throttle application allow 100% range of throttle? Just had a Kustom Tech Internal Throttle done on my Night Rod Special with 16” t-bars and the shop that installed it here in Sweden said that the throttle body is normal to only open up about 70% with this setup. Seems pretty fckd up to me. When I asked them about it they said ”Well how often do you really go full throttle? We never” while I was thinking to myself that I go full throttle almost every ride… Would be extremely thankful for any help or advice on potential tweaks. Cheers guys
Yes. The throttle blade total opening is dependant on where the cable is cut/set etc.
So yes. You should have 100% range of throttle.
😮❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
🤙🤙
Have you done a exile internal clutch assembly????
No brotha'
Nah dude 🤙🤙
Um, this may sound dumb, but how would you install this kit on a set of "Drag-Z" bars???
Yea, the cable needs a smooth path to travel. Love this idea but its not going to work with my z bars either. Angles are too severe to accommodate.
Very good question..... haven't done it so couldn't say
If ANYONE (INCLUDING Grays, Reptilians, Nordics, etc.-LOL) has successfully installed this kit on a set of Z-Bars, PLEASE make a video & share link here......Im still waiting & keeping the faith ......
This Arcturian says, fahgetabout it on Z bars... ✌️🛸
As you can see...
As you can see.....
is their one for a dual throttle cable?
Not that we're aware of. But check out exile and see....
What about the idle cable?
Not always absolutely necessary when the carb is spring assisted.

Good video, but the background music really dont do the good explainations any justice... it’s hard to focus.
Thanks for the feedback we have started to mellow down the background music in our later edits.
the exile internal throttles need a spring so the throttle snaps back to the starting position like some other after market internal throttles
No. You are incorrect sorry.
@@ChampionCycle oh. thanks for the correction then!
500$, r u fuckin kidding me?
💰💰
Do it yourself for about a $100...if you have common sense ability...
There seems to be a similar product in China now, and the price is much lower, costing less than a hundred dollars, but they don’t have an installation tutorial, which makes me very uncomfortable. Finally, thanks to the blogger for the tutorial, I should try to install it.
@@Mrbreezehd1 It doesn’t cost more than $100 to buy in China, but they don’t provide tutorials.
