Some of these were probably phishing attempts rather than actual companies looking to sponsor videos.
Some of them were like “This software will replace OBS” and when you download it it fetches your cookies so they can bypass 2fa

I’ve gotten an email from a scammer on an email I don’t use anymore, and holy wow that was a lot of emails.
They didn’t know what Bcc was either.
That 6000 mail sounds so fun 😂😂 I mean, it was funny, not that such a spam is actual fun

Still early in the video, and 2 things stand out:
1. That one "sponsor" offer has at least looked at your channel. This type of e-mail has started to hit my inbox, and since they're making offers for in-video promotion they're not even putting in that little effort.
Because my channel, though branded, has only 3 uploads which are unlisted. And clearly labeled as not my creations. So, um, thanks for the offer, but I'm literally not set up to accept it?
2. ...the second thing is now a mystery to me, so it couldn't have actually stood out that much!
On another note, I've been binging your channel recently because it's so enjoyable. There's the nostalgia, of course, and also curiosity about how many of the "experiments" will work out and what kind of solutions you'll try out on the way.
But what keeps me clicking the next is your calm, engaging style, along with just the right level of describing a topic's visual features. Before last week, I wouldn't have thought one could get a lot out of just hearing about the differences in Windows development builds... and now those have become part of my "distraction-while-running" routine. 👟🍍
[Slowly raises hand.] I keep most of my emails too. Even the really old ones...
Also, that last weird business email... Wow... The reply chain must have been a headache. Also, 6000+ emails in the BCC line? That has to have been a bot. This email and all the others smell like scams.

A lot of weird emails. Thankfully I haven't got any sponsorships except one by a company advertising a game. I didn't accept it but I think it was genuine with it having a Kickstarter page.
Your 6000 email addresses one reminded me of the time someone sent their shirt size to the whole company by hitting reply all.
Their shirt size must've been so important, that everyone in the company needed to hear it.

😂😂😂😂 this was by far one of my favourite videos with a great surprise in the end 😂😂😂 I have actually received emails like that in the early 2000's with random people's email adresses, some how there is always some guys answering with reply all 😂😂😂😂
As someone who's done sponsorships with youtube channels for my own personal projects (not a major brand or anything by any means, just personal startups) I'd like to note that seeing an outlook/gmail/etc address shouldn't really be a red flag 100% of the time. Some of us are just individuals doing things independently and are already spending a ton on hosting and whatnot, so we don't really want to spend extra on a fancy email--or a lot of people simply don't know how that works.
Imagine, you receive a email from a viewer and you watch: "hello i want to pass in a video!"
What do you responce?

the unprofessional ones are specifically made for people who would fall for that. they dont want to lose time with a questioning person, they would rather have you read the email and make fun of it than to have some somewhat believable email that you will realize is fake down the road.
