i used to play serious sam pvps, players were bolt and you still can snipe them, with proper practice, imagine getting sniper shots in this game were players are slower
@Brian Davin gaming Nah it's more that a good player is generally someone who plays for a longer time and thus has atleast some items (not saying you need an unusual, but after some time you ought to have atleast some shitty head or an "epic memey" name tagged rifle), or that a guy with an expensive loudout is less likely to hack since he spend a bunch of money on it and would loode that by risking a VAC ban

Kind of had this happen to me in Valorant. Had an Omen TP right above me and so I blasted his ass to hell as Breach. Then proceeded to get accused of hacks and the rest of the game he was taunting me saying I turned my hacks off.

So, I suck at sniper, but I played it a month ago. Got one headshot in 3 minutes and was accused of hacking. It was a disguised spy who disguised in my line of sight and then stood still for a few seconds.
spectator mode is not a good way to spot sneaky hackers since there is lag between the client and the spectator. This is why "NewGuy" and "M.L.P" probably saw you get a headshot while not aiming for the head. Before calling someone out you should spectate them to see if they're using walls or obvious aim lock, and check their profile to see how long they've been playing.
Haha you just said that spectator mode is not a good way to spot hackers, but then you also said: "spectate them" There is simply no other way to do it, maybe to record a demo and watch it later, but the hacker will be long gone

Exactly, I get nervous easily whenever I play sniper so my hands basically go out of control and start shaking which lead to me getting kicked out of a bunch of games, even if I tried to explain why it’s like that, they say I’m lying and kick me
@Daniel von Strangle That's actually pretty untrue. Uber as a whole pretty much counters everything sniper does. A good roamer can put pressure on him as well, spies included. It's not really "unfun" to counter a sniper if your thought process is "okay, so how can I effectively take this guy out without him seeing me, or being able to kill me and my team so we can push" instead of "fuck this sniper killed me, broken class is broken".
Though to be honest he probably plays on MLP servers because he gets better reactions. I know from experience that there will be more autistic man children on average in a brony server than any other server.

To be honest, hackers are almost always just default classes that 99% of the time play sniper even when it's not needed. Dying constantly to the same default sniper generates frustration. Put two and two together and you have a logical assumption that pretty much any casual gamer would make, regardless of whether or not the person is actually cheating. TL;DR, feel insecure about your skill in TF2? Go default.

@@potatomilki Not in regards to characters there's not. Skins are only associated with weapons in TF2, not really a big thing in the community. Characters in TF2 have Cosmetics and Cosmetics are where it's at. People were thinking he was only ligit when he was wearing Cosmetics, while no Cosmetics with skill meant Hax. Had nothing to do with what was on the weapons. Everything to do with what was on the Character of Sniper.
Maple Gum Just going to be real hear: pure stock load outs usually seem fishy because if you think about it, not even free to plays have a pure stock loud-out. When I see these “hatless” snipers on a server, what I do is pay attention and see if they are getting achievements you would not normally see on a veteran account (such as hard to kill or the sniper milestone achievements) If I spot something off, I then check their profile to inspect their hours. If I’m satisfied, I don’t say anything but I’ll will usually keep a close eye on the player until they leave the server.

People hate those that are better than them. These are the people that will never improve no-matter how much they play because of the fact that they aren't willing to admit they are not that great. They have lied to themselves so many times that the other people just got lucky or are cheaters that they actually started believing it, because of this they keep on doing the same stupid shit that gets them killed repeatedly.
It's due to past experiences where that was all people see nowadays, and for those who really are cheating, it makes them less likely to be kicked because good snipers do this in order to piss people off and to get views on their youtube channels. It's a mixed bag, really.
Because VAC is a complete joke and good players almost always have a distinguishable proof of being a pro P2P (unusuals and/or stranges with astronomical score), it's quite normal to assume a player with a complete stock or "Gibusvision" set is a cheater unless they play a projectile-based class (non-Direct Hit Soldier, non-Loch-n-Load Demoman, Medic). There's nothing wrong with calling a report on suspicious people so Valve can decide whether they cheated or not. And if the player was actually a legit one, well... kudos to them. The world is cruel. One time I actually ran into a cheater with Hale's Own strange sniper rifle and they got banned the next few hours. They made it super obvious by having a weird script that changed their name every ~0.3 sec to spell an offensive meme sentence.

People these days are like "Is that a sniper always getting headshots and not wearing cosmetics? HE'S CLEARLY CHEATING!!" Wearing cosmetics doesn't always mean you're good a player. Most likely they're wearing cause it looks cool or something like that.
I mean cosmetics are a good indicator of the amount of time you spend in the game... Most people wouldn't sink $40 into a game that they don't play much.
I actually used to do that way back when and see if people would accuse me of hacking. I used to be pretty decent as sniper so I knew how to fake other snipers out and what not. My first account that I don't use anymore since it's been so long I don't really remember the password almost got banned because of some kid who was determined to get me banned because I got one to many head shots on him. Accused me of Aimbotting wall hacks all sorts of shit. Almost got away with it if the moderator wasn't smart and stopped saying "alright hold up" I still talk to that moderator from time to time. Pretty chill dude.

spectator mode is not a good way to spot sneaky hackers since there is lag between the client and the spectator. This is why "NewGuy" and "M.L.P" probably saw you get a headshot while not aiming for the head. Before calling someone out you should spectate them to see if they're using walls or obvious aim lock, and check their profile to see how long they've been playing.
Haha you just said that spectator mode is not a good way to spot hackers, but then you also said: "spectate them"
There is simply no other way to do it, maybe to record a demo and watch it later, but the hacker will be long gone

@Daniel von Strangle That's actually pretty untrue. Uber as a whole pretty much counters everything sniper does. A good roamer can put pressure on him as well, spies included. It's not really "unfun" to counter a sniper if your thought process is "okay, so how can I effectively take this guy out without him seeing me, or being able to kill me and my team so we can push" instead of "fuck this sniper killed me, broken class is broken".

To be honest, hackers are almost always just default classes that 99% of the time play sniper even when it's not needed. Dying constantly to the same default sniper generates frustration. Put two and two together and you have a logical assumption that pretty much any casual gamer would make, regardless of whether or not the person is actually cheating.
TL;DR, feel insecure about your skill in TF2? Go default.

People were thinking he was only ligit when he was wearing Cosmetics, while no Cosmetics with skill meant Hax. Had nothing to do with what was on the weapons. Everything to do with what was on the Character of Sniper.

Maple Gum Just going to be real hear: pure stock load outs usually seem fishy because if you think about it, not even free to plays have a pure stock loud-out. When I see these “hatless” snipers on a server, what I do is pay attention and see if they are getting achievements you would not normally see on a veteran account (such as hard to kill or the sniper milestone achievements) If I spot something off, I then check their profile to inspect their hours. If I’m satisfied, I don’t say anything but I’ll will usually keep a close eye on the player until they leave the server.

It's due to past experiences where that was all people see nowadays, and for those who really are cheating, it makes them less likely to be kicked because good snipers do this in order to piss people off and to get views on their youtube channels. It's a mixed bag, really.
Because VAC is a complete joke and good players almost always have a distinguishable proof of being a pro P2P (unusuals and/or stranges with astronomical score), it's quite normal to assume a player with a complete stock or "Gibusvision" set is a cheater unless they play a projectile-based class (non-Direct Hit Soldier, non-Loch-n-Load Demoman, Medic). There's nothing wrong with calling a report on suspicious people so Valve can decide whether they cheated or not. And if the player was actually a legit one, well... kudos to them. The world is cruel.
One time I actually ran into a cheater with Hale's Own strange sniper rifle and they got banned the next few hours. They made it super obvious by having a weird script that changed their name every ~0.3 sec to spell an offensive meme sentence.

I actually used to do that way back when and see if people would accuse me of hacking. I used to be pretty decent as sniper so I knew how to fake other snipers out and what not. My first account that I don't use anymore since it's been so long I don't really remember the password almost got banned because of some kid who was determined to get me banned because I got one to many head shots on him. Accused me of Aimbotting wall hacks all sorts of shit. Almost got away with it if the moderator wasn't smart and stopped saying "alright hold up" I still talk to that moderator from time to time.
