Dude Ronnie Radke is a badass and has been a beacon of light to me for most of my life,i know lots of people that love Ronnie, hating on Ronnie is just a trend, and any trend has mindless followers, real ones like Ron
Many more artists need to jump on with Ronnie. The copyright b.s. is so ridiculous. Producers need to realize that when your favorite streamers, channels, videos, etc... feature the artists music, it is actually free advertising, and brings in more fans. A streamer listening to music does not result in stolen music sales. The exception would be if a channel is streaming the music with only the intention of streaming the music. But even then, it still allows the artists' music to reach a wider audience.
This, as a huge fan of metalcore i've found plenty of new bands through watching different streamers. That i likely never would have listened to otherwise.
i think it’s just the labels that don’t like that cause the independent artists i listen to don’t really care if it’s something like that cause it gets their name and their music out there even more. and the labels don’t realize that they only see dollar signs
Man I don't understand why people think Ronnie ain't humble... The dude's intense and will absolutely swing back but that doesn't mean he's not humble... If you took a step back and looked at his life the dude's been through it. Lost his best friend lost his brother got thrown in jail on some BS... Ronnie has my respect not just as a singer and entertainer but as a human being
On some BS? He was a 5 star idiot, got involved in a fight when he was already on thin ice due do previous drug possession charges, got probation then failed to report to his probation officer.
This is what it should be. I would be HONORED if people chose MY music over anyones to listen to while streaming for OTHER PEOPLE to watch. People are garbage and I’m so sick of it.
Seriously huge man! The whole DMCA thing has drastically undercut the quality of most streams, particularly video game streams. I hope that other artists follow your decision!
Literally all the music I've purchased has come from streams or RUclips radio only plays what's popular in that time I'd never hear any of the music I have otherwise.
It's also just good business. The more people hear his music, the more will want to pay to see him live, buy merch, and maybe even buy the music someday.
omg. so I've used falling in reverse as an example for why I think copyright where playing background music is concerned is really dumb, and now we can use Ronnie's shit, this is awesome
Doesn't really matter what he says, right? Same reason why Kanye (I think?) said you can only play his old stuff on stream, the labels have final say. The artists can only do so much.
Sadly, with how DMCA works, even him giving direct permission while owning all rights can't help anything. Remember when Metallica got a stream ban for playing their own music?
I imagine that depends on their contract. But you can buy the rights to your own music or others. It may be part of his contract that he owns the rights himself even.
no this is just a giant empty gesture twitchs copyright system is automated and most of the music that will you get a strike was added to the "list" by the lables themselves which in most case trumps any artists wishes regardless... mostly as a way to combat the new age "pirateing" of people streaming full albums on soundcloud or what have you bypassing the company getting those pennies... which in all fairness is a problem and does add up
one thing musicians need to realize is that people who watch a stream, and listen to a song from then and like them are more likely to look then up than those who havent heard the song on the first place because it wasnt allowed to be listened to on stream
Would this actually work? If you got banned on Twitch and you sent them this clip would they be like *Well if the literal artist who made those songs says it's cool then it's cool* I feel like this is just wishful thinking.
Let me learn you something you obviously haven't learned in the years being signed by a label the recording label that you are signed to owns the intellectual property behind your music therefore you cannot give permission they would have to go through your recording label

Epitaph: We respectfully disagree.

This also applies to using his music for entrance themes in Twitch streams where people run interactive Universe modes. :)

Honestly wouldn't even be listening to Falling In Reverse is it weren't for reaction channels on RUclips.

Think about it, people play your music and now other will also want to listen to it. I don't get why artists wouldnt want that free publicity
does this include falling in reverse stuff?
Full respect but doesn't the studio/record company own the rights to the music normally?
I imagine that depends on their contract. But you can buy the rights to your own music or others. It may be part of his contract that he owns the rights himself even.
A lot of artist record their own music these days and release it themselves.
i tried using some of his songs but still it gets muted from it so i have to use something else
Wait is this actually enough to keep from getting a strike? I never knew artists could actually do this even with their own music.
