Her low notes this year are better supported than ever. She supported down to F3 a couple times, and down to G#3 consistently. Beautiful, resonant, full mid belts this year. This is actually something she used to struggle with when she was younger. Her mid belts used to lack resonance. Her C5s for example, are now up there with Whitney, Mariah, and Celine with how resonant they are. She’s always had the best belts D5-E5 though. Maybe Lara Fabian can compete with her in that area, but not many others. This last part of the year we’ve seen major improvements to her upper belts. She’s produced some of the best belts F5+ of her entire career. Most of the F5s and F#5s in this video were breathtakingly open and resonant. She has mastered supported in her head voice up to B5, which is right around where Whitney and Celine were in their prime. Hopefully people start giving Kelly the credit she deserves. She is truly up there with the greats, and she is slaying right now. Queen shit for sure.
I can’t believe she doesn’t get the appreciation and respect that she fully deserves! She is phenomenal & she’s only gotten better 20+ years into her career! She truly is one of the best! Her vocals this year have been absolutely stunning! Chemistry was a great album as well! My favorite of the year 😍
I mean a female vocalist doesn’t reach peak vocals until around 35 because that’s when the voice matures so I’m not surprised that she sounds better as an adult than as a kid. Especially because she’s been working on it for so long. She’s got all the techniques, the warmup and cool down routines, etc., so it would make sense that she’s even better now than she was.

I think Christina’s voice wouldn’t sound anything like it does now, so we may not even recognize it if she used proper technique. It would probably be a lot lighter/girlier in color, though still gorgeous.
