- Prince Philip's coffin has arrived at St George's Chapel in Windsor ahead of his funeral ceremony.
It was followed by members of the Royal Family in a procession from Windsor Castle to the Chapel.

I thought Prince Charles looked as though he had been crying. For the first time in years I felt for him. Princess Anne is a wonderful Royal but couln't hide her grief. They all looked so dignified.

It was a wonderful celebration and honour to such a great Man. Those Royal Marines carried the Coffin of the late Duke of Edinburgh just perfect with no errors, one single step on those stairs would have been a disaster. Salute to their discipline 👍🏻👍🏻💪🏼

They are perfect - but in our cenchery, we can use the perfect technology!

The entire service was probably the most dignified and spiritual of all the royal major services.
I found it very spiritual, indeed! Not from this earth...
I, personally, found it a bit boring, well I realise funerals are not entertainment but no hymns I could join in with. I like singing along though the words mean nothing to me. Too much singing dirgy songs though those singers were wonderful seeing there were only five of them. I felt so sad for my queen sat there all alone. Maybe she wanted it that way so if she wanted to weep she could do so but she looked so fragile as though she was the only one there.
I loved how he chose the Hymnals himself. Surely, he had Faith in the Creator - God.

@@lunasmum6869 That is the music Philip chose. There were 4 choristers and a choirmaster. And no guests sang. It was the choristers, alone, because the protocols acknowledge that singing can spread the virus farther and the guests had all been asked to wear masks and not to join the singing to safeguard them all. Most of the guests sat alone, two seats removed from the next party, because only immediate nuclear households were permitted under the pandemic protocols to sit together. Most of the guests sat alone due to their not being any attendance availability under the protocols for their spouses or due to being single thus maintaining solo households. The queen rode with a lady-in-waiting who waited elsewhere during the service, so as not to go over the number of people allowed in the quire stalls. There is very little congregant singing in any church service now. I am sure it will return when it is safe for full-throated singing to resume. The queen found it hard to make the choices for limited attendees.
The British army are so unique. Rest in peace Prince Philip.

They must have intensely rehearsed for that like a thousand times 🤣, that coffin is heavy and it takes real discipline and proffesionalism to do that, plus the pressure when they realize hundreds of thousands of eyes around the world are on them
