I mean, its a control deck. Countering a turn 3 ramp + removing the future adventure with negate is the right move, especially since LVD was playing a creature deck. Negate's future usefulness would have been in doubt for the oppo, so its best to run it out there.@@merke323
Azorius: 🤢 Abusing ETBs: 😱😮😎🔥 Haha just teasing Luca! This deck is pretty damn awesome I must admit. Cards like Yarok are exactly the type of gameplay I love. This time it's Elesh Norn! Great job as always, man. Appreciate you tons!!!
Blink decks are my favorite archetype ever since Reveillark combo back in the day, and I'd been kicking around the idea for a new Standard one for a while when developing my pet deck gets to be frustrating, and I completely missed the Prototype creatures in my Scryfall searches. What a cool addition!
I really wanna see an Esper build that uses Virtue of Knowledge, Elesh Norn, Mondraak, Twisted Sewer-Witch, and Warehouse Tabby. Witch ETB on stack x3 First resolves, create two Rats bc Mondraak. Create two Wicked Roles on each Rat. Only 1 Role per creature, two Roles fall off. Opponent loses 2 life. Tabby makes 2 Rats per Role that goes to Grave bc Mondraak. +4 Rats. Witch ETB 2 resolves, creating 2 Rats. 2 Roles per Rat. 10 Roles fall off (2 each on the original two Rats, 1 each on the remaining new 6) Opponent loses 10 life, Tabby makes 20 Rats Witch ETB 3 resolves, creating 2 Rats (30 total) and 2 Roles per Rat. 38 Roles fall off (1 each for the new 22 Rats, 2 each for the previous 8) opponent loses 38 Life, if they're still alive somehow, make 76 Rats (106 total)
Ngl. I was thinking of something similar-ish myself. In particular, i think the twins are highly underrated. When combined with Steel Seraph, you have 2 potent flying threats that can cause a lot of damage. Most decks cant handle fliers that well, allowing you to push past stalls. And since both are (potentially) vigilant fliers, it makes them even harder to deal with.
I do believe I played you in Platinum tonight screen name Enigma/Flux. I randomly played mono black, grull no new cards and mono red (my version) cant remember what I was playing but your odd deck kicked my ass. Anyway I just made mythic with mono red celebration. Cheers!
I think it might be worth it to splash some green for Lagrella. Exiling your own prototypes and then flickering her is insane value especially with combat thresher since it just turns into a 5/5 double strike. She might provide that extra oomph to close out the games a bit quicker.
I've not seen anyone else try this yet, so I'mma start by asking you. Have you tried a multiplied burnout strategy with Phyrexian Vindicator yet? Where you try to get cards like City on Fire, and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus on the field alongside Phyrexian Vindicator. Then you can your opponent with a lightning bolt. Lightning Bolt, hits Vindicator x3(City on Fire), then turns around and multiplies x3 again as Vindicator's ability aims for the opponent or something on their field, with another x2 if there's a Solphim on the field as well. Like that.
i like your videos! gonna make some legends or runeterra content soon! 5:31 would it have been better to bounce the wedding announcement since it was about to flip and would be a large mana investment to replay, or is reducing opponent's creatures just more important?
i might be wrong, but at 16:00 can’t you exile twining twins, play the adventure side to blink your prototype creature? i realie it’s one less blocker on board but if you recast twins out of adventure afterwards you’re drawing way more cards
That was an option, but it was important to keep our 4/4 Vigilant Flying creature in play. The game won't last long enough for the extra cards to matter all that much.
The big form of the prototype creatures is their default state, being prototyped is a modified version of their statblock you get by casting them for an altertives cost so when they change zones they revert back into their default state (the big one)
What I've noticed about this set us that ALL the good cards are rare which are very hard to get, even the mythics are trash compared to the must have rares.
@@1who4me its called anti-consumer and poor assbagery. If you don't have something to whine about with wizards I question your sanity and morals.
Just asking out of curiosity, isn't it better to cut a few steel seraph and removal for a few golden argosys?or is it too slow for the current standard?
I love how Legend always says hello back to people who greet him in game. One of the reasons (other than being a super annoying nerd) why I stopped following CGB was that the guy is a pretentious turd who acts like he's above people lol, even commenting how annoying is that they "hello" him.
In Match 3, the edit focusing on the opponent going through your grave was very much appreciated.
This dude has baller edits. They’re often so simple but so effective.
19:38 most toxic and ferocious LVD I have ever witnessed
Yeah, the opponent was just lame, we all wanted to see the rampy trick, but the foe was too busy enforcing fun police
He got out of control there, yep

Kind of scared me to be honest. It's like hearing Mr. Rogers swear.

I was so eagerly anticipating the third depopulate to be met by the third swift spiral. I'm so glad it actually happened.
Cool deck. Certainly a unique brew. Thanks.
Yeah love a good Azorius deck! Now to build it...
i tried to build a blink/ return deck just earlier today. i didnt see enough options to make it work, but you did! bravo
25:40 that was funny as hell. wasnt expecting it
I feel like this new 3 year standard has really thrown some fire on your deck brewing lately.
I can always count on you to craft the most fun decks on Arena ^^
Wouldn't it make sense to run 4 Spirit Realm's, because you can use them as protection-spells?

LVD just loves Combat Thresher. I think he sleeps with one under his pillow.
I think you spelled Mind Stone incorrectly ;)

So what is the ruling for prototypes coming back as their "better version" after being flickered?
They will come back at whatever power/toughness in the bottom right of the card (i.e the bigger one)
The big form of the prototype creatures is their default state, being prototyped is a modified version of their statblock you get by casting them for an altertives cost so when they change zones they revert back into their default state (the big one)
