I liked how 90s sitcoms had bar scenes with bikers who also knew martial arts.
And multicultural
Back then, everyone on TV knew martial arts. Thank Chuck Norris for that.
@@ericgarcia4745 “oh no its a multi cultural youth gang including white guys.”
“Let beat him up , and not cuz of the color of his skin cuz that would be wrong.”
well 8 to 10 people knew "some" stuff from martial arts but usually ina "basic lvl", and from that 8 people 2 usually has a "high degree" (brown to black belt)
@@user-rj8mz5bv9gThat was Bruce's doing.
For a family sit-com, that was a pretty good fight scene.
Probably was choreographed by Sasha. He’s only gotten better (as a fighter) in the last 30 years.
@@muaddib989 Cody needed his own spinoff
@@robinorlowski2449
Blame his ex-wife. She’s the OG Amber Heard. Abusing a famous guy & saying he did it
@@muaddib989yep
Sash Mitchell and Jeff Speakman!
Rest In Peace Susanne Sommers❤🕊️🙏🏽
Cody was the best part of the show. It went down hill after he left.
His wife’s false allegations. Boo!
What happened
yeah, but they had real-life Beavis and butthead for some reason.
Franks headbutt was the best move 😂
That's Uncle Frank- he taught Cody self-defense!!!
Siii
Always using his head.
remember, he acted like his hand didn't hurt, and then when nobody looked, he put his hand in a thing of ice cream
cody is the best character for a bar fight. His reactions are priceless.
El era practicante de Artes marciales
Didn’t he go to jail for DV?
@@Solsuper7. his ex-wife made up & spread lies about him that were proven false & he was innocent the whole time. He protected his kids from her & won full custody of them while she only got limited visitation.
Some years later she died of a drug overdose. He ended up going back to jail about 10 years ago, because for some stupid reason they never dropped the charges. Dudes just have no rights in those situations

Sasha Mitchell was in the Kickboxer movies, so they probably wanted to create some action with his skills on Step by Step.
This definitely reminds me of that bar scene in kickboxer so it's obvious that this was inspired from it
Amateur champion
Exactly
Yeah, it definitely was. I remember this. As a kid in the 90s everybody knew about Kickboxer, and they definitely ran commercials to tease that he would be getting into a fight on the next episode. I can definitely remember tuning in that week specifically because of that. It's weird now just thinking of how things were back then, watching weekly TV programming. It's funny how "bad guys" were almost always some form of biker gang, and the way they depicted martial arts back then was so ridiculous. That's why we all thought that Van Damme and Steven Segal were real tough guys. The bar was pretty low.
Right
90's shows were awesome. Pure fun and entertainment. Phenomenal memories.
the 80's were just as good. The best times
Suzanne is gorgeous and will be missed 😢
This is just me, but I liked her look here more than Three's company. She aged INCREDIBLY.
@@toptenguy1 she was gorgeous in both shows
Yep.
Loved the traditional Scottish Headbutt move that Patrick made, pure classic move.
@@MRWIL246 that was hilarious 😂 😃 and awesome
It's the "Mop & Glow" that killed me too funny.
I still remember seeing this when it first aired. Then wondering how the heck Cody was a freaking badass.... then my brother showed me him in a KickBoxer movie. It blew my 10 year old mind
Cody is the coolest 😎, not only does he kick butt ,but he does so with humor and makes fun of those guys
This show is a 90's classic.
Sasha (Cody) reminds me of a ninja turtle out of his shell. 🤭
Finding Nemo turtle 😂😂
Cody was an amazing character. I love Step by Step!
Laughter or a smile always wins over anger .. Just like Jackie Chan
That Asian biker had such a happy smile on his face just before getting put through the window
The speed of those kicks was mind blowing 😂
Idk if its a coincidence or not but he's always saving girls❤❤❤ in all his movies
Women can't do much. Only some
Ironically he went to prison for beating his wife.
@@Tokimonster916 damn
@@Tokimonster916she was lying
I haven’t seen the show yet but all ready I’m loving Cody
You gotta watch this show. I watched it in the 90s. Loved it. Cody and JT were my favorites.
No Había Visto Ese Capitulo
En esa Época
O Tal Vez No lo Recuerdaba
Muy Buenos Movimientos
De Sasha Mitchell
Estupenda Serie
Es un luchador de Artes marciales. Hizo las secuelas de Kickboxer.
One of my favorites shows.
i sense trouble! 😅 that delivery is funny
The mop scene and the kick was just awesone duuuuude 🤣👌
Epico
Cody would be an awesome Johnny Cage
Or Casey Jones
Totally agree
@@howsway42 yes him.
He would have been an awesome Chris Redfield...if the RE movies weren't so bad.
Both actors are skilled in martial arts.
Cody was always my favorite character, being honest sincere yet always there when he was needed to most with decent advice
Miss this show so much 🥺🥺🥺 i used to watch this a lot before going to school 🏫 back in my days
Love it. I was just a kid when I first saw it. That fight specifically, kept in my mind.
I want to go back in time and marry Sasha Mitchell, he's just perfect!😭
Hes a wife beater.
@@kennethhill613I've been waiting for this comment😁
I think she got hurt for the case, she was a drug addict and bullied children, he protected them. The court acquitted him, he got custody, and she was forbidden to see them, so I don't think Sasha is a bad person, He was just unlucky with his wife. I still want to marry him when he was young)
Me parezco a él,cásate conmigo,y llévame ...
@@kseniya992thank you for posting this. I thought he was a wife beater but it didn't feel right based on the characters he played (I mean he is an actor, but still).
@@davidm4566 I would also never have believed that Sasha could be such a freak, his main mistake is that he married the wrong woman, I feel sorry for him, she ruined such a wonderful guy and his career. But he has children whom he has raised all his life, and I will always love and respect him.❤️
Sasha Mitchell always saves woman in all his movies...
Martial Arts was cool back in the 90s. Cody was such a good character.
When i was a teenager this looked cool.
"Arlo Prine" - nice tribute to two great musicians.
Esa serie cómica ha sido lo máximo, siempre me hizo reír tanto.
He went full Kickboxer on them.
What's funny is that Sacha is so so serious in the Kickboxer movies.
@@jamesrawlins735 Yeah. Shows his ability as an actor.
I didn't think I would ever see this episode again, thank you so much. I loved it when I first saw it at 13.
En qué temporada sale este episodio ??
Such a classic show from the 90s lot of stars in it some of the past and some still are famous love loved it
I loved this show!Glad you've dropped it. Respect.
Sasha Mitchell 💪🏾. Esos actores realmente eran arte marcialistas
I remember why I like this show 😂
I remember being really pumped when I saw this episode.
Streaming debería transmitir esta serie clásica.
Loved those TGIF shows!
Such a great decade.
ohh, que recuerdo de la tv, paso a paso que buena serie
If you’ve seen kickboxer 2 (1991) you know.
I will say his acting here is much better than in the Kickboxer movies (where his character is so serious he doesn't show emotion.) It's funny that he did Kickboxer considering that he is a black belt in taekwando, which is all kicks (you can see that here)
@@jamesrawlins735 Wait, he was in TKD? Man, his form, stance, and posture screamed Muay Thai kickboxer to me. I wonder if he did cross-training?
@@Billy-bc8pk Probably. But if you notice almost all of his "fights" on Step By Step are him using high kicks, a TKD trait. Muay Thai the kicks tend to be middle and lower part of the body. I'm sure he adjusts his stance for movies and tv.
😂 that dude at 1:04 is from no retreat no surrender 👍🏻 great 80s martial arts movie.
Dean Ramsey
Exactly 😂😂
That dude at 0:09
Is from lion heart, Jeff Langton
Van Damme punched him in the balllz
Sasha Mitchell
This was so much fun.
Great series..really miss Suzanne Sommers she will always be chrissy snow😊
In the series was my favorite character, the fighting in the dojo was great as well
'get up, Sonny!'. 😀
Damn, who knew that Patrick Duffy was kind of bad-ass!
He punched peeps in Dallas.
Loving the old school 1970's/1980's Milwaukee Bucks logo
He was actually a really good martial artist in real life
Genial kickboxer sasha mitchell....😂😂😂😂😂
Patrick Duffy looks like he's never thrown a punch in his life lol.
Good for him.
He punched peeps in Dallas.
Maybe the most unbelievable fight scene ever. The dude that played in kickboxer can fight.
Such a shame people like Cody don't exist in real life
His character here kind of reminds me what Jackie Chan does in some of his movies.
I haven't seen this episode since I only seen several parts on some episodes of the show but wow this hilarious fight scene is badass!
[2:46] The stuntman is smiling just before he goes through the window. They look like they were having a good time on set. I'm sure it was more lighthearted than their usual action movie gigs.
1:43 he should say “my brother, Kurt Sloane”
He's like "YOU HAVE A METAL ARM? THAT IS SO COOL!" lmaoo
Long before Patrick Duffey beat up Dewey Cox😂😂😂❤
What an amazing show this was. Great times
Sasha Mitchell... Kick boxer dude... Miss him
Best episode of the whole series IMO.
Cody is kickboxer pro hehehe
Yes, like someone said, pretty good scene
Bobby Ewin just had to get into a bar fight 😂😂😂😂😂
That Show is still very good! It's a shame that's not available on DVD here in Germany!
I miss the TGIF line up. If they just had a channel that played TGIF shows 24/7 I'd be good.
Everybody's tough until Bobby Ewing and Chrissy Snow show up.
This is what my nephews and niece think would happen if I got into a bar fight. 😂
Suzanne Somers❤
I miss the simple comedy and drama of the 80s and 90s sitcoms. Where did they go?
Great video thanks for this video 📸
Cod-man was the man. Great show
Just found the episode. Its episode 1x08 "Just for Kicks".
All hells gonna break loose at the blue oyster!
No me gustan las escenas de peleas, pero este episodio fue súper divertido.
Before he took over the kickboxer role
I think it’s hilarious how the actor who played him actually got in legal trouble in real life lol 😂
I love how biker gangs were always the United Nations when it came to diversity in 80s and 90s films
One of the bar room brawlers is "Sonny" from _Lionheart_ (1991). That actor said that getting kicked in the nuts by JCVD ruined his acting career because it typecast him as a character who always loses a fight. In this episode of _Step-By-Step_ we see the effects of him being typecast.
Idk why tf this is in my youtube feed but I remember this show lol
😁😁...
Uncle bobby and J.R's oldest son kicking ass!
Dana's so shocked that her cousin, mom & stepdad know how to brawl.
Bobby Ewing still has it.
Cody’s badass. Haha
The guy behind Cody in the first part is Sonny (first circuit fight) from Lionheart.
I picture the turtle from Finding Nemo whenever Sasha talks
If the guy that's outnumbered is smiling before the battle that's a sign you're about to have a bad day.
I remember seeing this episode when it first aired,. I was shell shocked cuz I always thought of Cody to be passive aggressive. They also did the same on Family Matters. Some of these dudes was in the scene with Urkel, Richie, and Little T were Bruce Lee impersonators.
1:05 JCVD kicked their asses before, the left one in lionheart and the right one on no retreat no surrender.
Very good 😂
Wouldn't have been a proper fight scene without someone being tossed through that window 😂
This quality though.
those bar fights that Bobby Ewing and Ray Krebs got into in Dallas paid off for Patrick Duffy
2:34 Sticks from Out for Justice 😂😂😂😂😂
