- Carwow has today announced it has bought Autovia, publishers of popular car magazines Auto Express and Evo. In this interview, Carwow Group CEO John Veichmanis talks to James Baggott about why it did the deal and its plans for the 'much-loved' brands.
He answers questions about whether the firm will continue to print the weekly car magazine, whether the sale will lead to redundancies and if the acquisition will tip the serial loss making Carwow into profit. Авто/Мото
He does a very good job of answering questions without really answering questions.
“Are you going to make people redundant” …..”we are chasing growth”
Of course they’re making people redundant
Empower the Private Seller and Buyer, guarrantee private sales security, used car dealers drive used car prices up. By building confidence in buyers they can trust private sellers its a win for you and the buyers
Auto Express needs a shake up it has become bland except for Mike Rutherford the best motoring journalist in the UK
I have been a subscriber to Auto Express for a few years and I still enjoy reading It as It has the best Editorial Team lead by Editor In Chief Steve Fowler who work hard every week and I will never stop reading It 😊
Super excited! 😵
Matt walks into Evo/AutoExpress/CarBuyer offices:
“How the tables have turned…😁”
The management team from those days were long gone, as were the offices. So no, that didn't happen.
Please don’t change Evo
8:44 “Fools. I’m going to buy Autotrader”,
Hope to GOD that they sack all the PC fools at Autoexpress. Presenters on their youtube channels not representative of the British Uk petrolheads .Stopped subscribing due to this
I couldn't agree more. The EV shilling they do is nauseating. I've been an Auto Express subscriber for over 20 years. At this rate, not much longer. Everything woke turns to shit.
Couldn’t stand watching his expressive hand movements
Hopefully Carwow can inject some life into Auto Express, and start telling the truth about EVs. Auto Express already has an EV sister mag. So why fill Auto Express with that shit too? Unless they're being paid to push an agenda. The road test comparisons are crap now without the in-gear acceleration times. I've been an Auto Express subscriber for 20+ years, but not for much longer.
Is there a reason why you don't want to subscribe anymore
