Retail vs Commercial Photography

Retail photography and commercial photography are two different worlds.
Retail photography is when you're commissioned to create images for your clients just for personal use. Commercial photography is when your clients intend to use your images to sell a product, service, or idea.
Knowing the difference will dictate how you approach the production, including how much you should charge.
