SPLATOON 3 RAINMAKER THIEF: STRINGERS EDITION

- A couple weeks ago I played with some fans on my Discord server. One viewer by the name of Twelve suggested a minigame that was like an upgraded remix of the beloved Rainmaker Thief game we played in Splatoon 2, with some deathmatch elements sprinkled onto it. This time, for each splat that you get on a player, you get one point but if you splat the current rainmaker carrier, you get 3 points added to your team score. So a rainmaker splat is the equivalent of a triple splat on normal players. However, there is a reward if you do end up holding the rainmaker until its timer depletes, for if you do then your team will add 3 points to their score. The carrier of the rainmaker can't go back to their spawn, however, as I've drawn boundaries on each of the maps which restrict the rainmaker carrier's movements. Whoever gets the most points at the end wins. Oh and only Splatoon 3 Stringers are allowed in the version we played. FIRST
here’s an idea: remember the bunker games splatfest stage in splatoon 2? since the stage hasn’t come back yet, recreate it with splat zones. 1 person from each team goes into the zone and tries to splat the other person. if you splat them, your team gets a point. to win, you don’t need to take control of the zone. you need to have the most amount of points. simple idea, but i played it with my friends and it was fun.
Inkrace. Ink brushes fight, swim, and run with the ink brush, and finishing first makes 3 points, second is 2, and 3rd is 1. And 1 kill is 2 points.

First minigame of 2023 and I'd say we're off to a strong start. Who knows, maybe some of the other past minigames could be reworked in some kind of way too...

Possibly. We were pretty close to choosing one in testing but we still have to work on that a little more.

@@Alphastar716 if I were playing with friends instead of competitive players I’d have fun. But it got to the point that it was infuriating to play. So I no longer have access to the game and will have to buy both splatoons again if I want to play. But I won’t anytime soon.

Being a tri-stringer main, I can happily say that this made my day.
gotta love more tri-stringer mains here and there!
Mini game idea: splatoon 2.5
Only allowed to play weapons whose main, sub, and special were available in splatoon 2 (regardless of if that combination was in the game)
Whichever team can get the most objective points, kills, and specials wins the match. If it’s a tie, the highest number on both sides are compared and that one is the winner, if that ties just split the point it isn’t worth it.
This isn’t super off the walls or funny. I just think it would be cool to watch

How do y’all come up with these mini games. Sometimes I wish these were actual games I could just load in and play.
Over the years, a lot of brainpower has been poured into making the best minigames possible to keep the game interesting x)
How about this: It’s just like how you regularly play it but you have to COMPLETELY change your language a motion control settings to another version. I know it’s not really a game but it’s a challenge more like. P.S this is my VERY first time doing this.
