Our obas in western states needs to go back to their old system by sitting once in a month for meeting .This will limits the way some of them are ruling on their own. I could remember some years back during the time of Olubushe 2 (oba sijuade) they made Orangun of Ila (oba Ayeni) where I was born the chairman councils of oba, which they use to organized once a month @osogbo then. May the both of two obas Rest In Peace. There was nothing like the way some of these our current digital obas behaves now. Something needs to be done before it gets out of hand.

Omooluoro Grammar School is in Akure , and there’s a little water behind the school. Sir Akure also have another associate with Ife, because the elder brother of the past Ooni of Ife lives in Akure and the street was named after him SIJUADE. But why are will still not in unity even when we understand our source

If we want to get to the root of who is who in Yoruba land, I am sure arrogance and favour me history is not the best tactics. We shud be asking who was oduduwa? where did he come from? Did he not meet ppl in ife on his arrival? who are those ppl he met there? Orin tabi ewi jatijati or Propaganda wont help us.

There is not arrogance in this, he is responding to one man claim. That is why the story only addressed a king and the community the community claimed.

      ABUKKYLICIOUS,
I don’t think you should be worried by this guy who just wanted to use people to get recognition in the society.
      Perhaps, he has forgotten that:
      “ilé tí a fi t’ómo,
      ìrì ní ó WO!
You can’t destroy someone’s name unjustly & expect to make it better in life. The creator would judge us all equally.
They are up to a serious mischief, & that’s why they are looking for all means to kill the Ùgbò history as claiming Ile-Ife as their ancestry.
None of them will accept with you that Oduduwa met the Ùgbò people in Ugbomokun now known as Ile Ife.
But whether they liked it or not, the truth is already known to the whole world!

Akanda tell us how ife betrayed moremi because you story about moremi was not correct. How is moremi not olugbo wife at least they were married before moremi betrayed olugbo and it's the norm to marry your slave if you love her. Akanda you need to keep your mouth quiet and stop calling a king an omo ale. I really like you but as an ijesha I dislike when a yoruba man have no respect for yoruba king. Olubuse II was in support of olugbo so ife is also part of the conspiracy. One thing you didn't say is was oduduwa already existed in yoruba land before all the occurrences between olugbo ancestors in ife.

History has a lot of sellable lies and ready customers to buy them. Awikonko is only defending his script because he knows absolute nothing about Yoruba history. Unfortunately, there are no verifiable methods to authenticate Yoruba history. You insulted Akinruntan and the entire Obamakin Osangangan lineage. We'll definitely pay you back in your own coin some day.
Why can't you insult alaafin for calling Oonirisa ordinary priest.

U try but u need more research. Amaranpetu of mahin kingdom and olugbo of Igbo are brothers that hail from Ife a descendant of oduduwa. Ooni is arole of oduduwa not a real child of oduduwa. It was when oranmiyan went to Oyo that he was crown

The best advice for those really interested in knowing the real facts and the true Yoruba history is simply to disregard this junk as it is conspicuous that this hungry ewì exponent is simply seeking undue attention. Potential learners are rather advised to approach materials & scholars of history in order to access the subject in its best form.
Far from this noise making, Oba Olugbo as it is in the news lately has really gone beyond this stage, and as such this misinformation needs no rebuttal as it is simply intent on drawing cheap popularity, which the caliber of His Majesty would not in any way align with, since he has his focuses.
However, for posterity sake, it is important to let the poster of this bric-a-brac know that as he may have been a stooge to his master, whose pipe he’s conspicuously blowing loud presently, so also does His Imperial Majesty Alaiyeluwa, The Olugbo of Ùgbò kingdom, has his quiet but highly intelligent followers of which I am one. Note should also be taken that we would always be on ground to educated the masses and correct your anomalies in whatsoever form it takes, once it is seen that you are out to confuse, mislead and misinform the innocent populace with your deliberate lies.
I’m actually not here to trade words or join issues with you, but just passing by to put the records straight, just as His Majesty, Olugbo, would always remark!
You and your masters may be doing all you are doing presently for monetary gains, but know that the Olugbo is not in the same class with your fore-fathers. His Majesty typifies & exemplifies what the real Yorubas call “Ajade-ma-tan-n-le”. He’s more than sufficient. His records are indisputable, as you may consult the Forbes and other records. He embarks on whatever he has to do on his personal account and takes responsibilities for all his actions. Note that he’s not alone in this fight of setting the record straight, as the entire creme-de-la-creme of the Ilaje nation already know he is fighting their course and would never take lightly any attempt from nincompoops like you to cast opprobrium on his personality.
By the way, the Yoruba elders would say:
“Tani baba a re n’ile yi na?”
Who is your father and of whose lineage is he in the entire Yoruba nation?
Omo at’oko wa b’ale je! The uncultured!
We know the likes of you. But note that your plan as usual to blackmail and intimidate rich and influential people in order to be called and settled has failed on arrival because many like me are full on ground to foil and frustrate your plans.
For the benefit of those really willing to learn, this poster raised some seemingly important issues but failed to sustain his arguments as much as he failed to see them to a logical conclusion.
    Some of the issues he raised include the following, that;
*the Olugbo of Ugbo is constantly in contention with Ooni Ojaja ll,
*the Olugbo always give the impression that he’s really great,
He is also much bothered about the position of Olugbo among other Yoruba Obas.
Truth be told, those without adequate knowledge of operations of the Yoruba traditional institutions would think you have really made some great points for your benefactors, however those harmed with sufficient knowledge of the modus operandi of the system would actually know that you are merely blabbing & ranting...
    (Still drafting...)

  • @ABUKKYLICIOUS

This story does not make any sense. Why is ooni concerned about who Olugbo installs as oba if Olugbo is insignificant in Yoruba land? Did olugbo not hear the accent of moremi and not ask moremi about her heritage before he married her? How is it possible that Moreni being the olori of the then ooni was not known to the olugbo and Olugbo did not suspect why a slave would be asking where his powers come from as powerful as the olugbo was? Very deceptive tale, it only tells us that moremi was a prostitute

    •  5 лет назад +3

No matter how long a lie is sustained, TRUTH will one day prevails.

This ewi will only discredit your efforts if you don't desist from gross misconduct. Disrespect to any Yoruba king is disrespectful to Yorubas. I know you are doing your business but a true yoruba are never disrespectful. Some of your words are fictional
