Michael Duffy yes the original song is, but it would be odd if the band changed their name each time to the origin of the song. 😉 Okinawa Americana is all about bringing the two main cultures on Okinawa together by sharing the beauty of each though combining their music. On this track, it isn’t simply translated into Okinawan it is a re-crafted song that aims to capture the essence and message of the original in a retelling that incorporates the Okinawan themes and essence also...thanks for watching and taking a minute to share your thoughts.
