And Jim doent's figure it out at first but then he can't help but enjoy the back and fort. It's really well constructed the whole dynamic.

Yes, this series captures human emotions beautifully. I love the scene where Pam cries after telling Jim to let Karen move in to an apartment closer by. For someone shy like Pam, I think that is EXACTLY how it would be. In real life that is why often people like Pam lose out to other more forward women. I used to be an obsessive FRIENDS fan, and never watched The Office. I know every episode and dialogue in Friends. Always changed channels when this show was on, thought it looked plain, like lesser production value due to the mockumentary style. Quarantine led me to finally watch on netflix after some 15 years. I am now so so so impressed with the writers of this show. I never understood why Mindy Kaling was so popular, now I get it. Such a great writer, her episodes are so good. This show is almost better than FRIENDS. It makes every character important, incredible writing.

There is NO couple in the history of TV that convey so much obvious love for each other without really interacting physically or even with words. They are so in synch as both know what the other thinks and is doing innately. This is a very important scene on the Office as slips under the radar. Since Karen is with Jim at this point Pam feels she has lost him. The fact he knows so much about her and hasnt forgotten gives her hope that maybe someday that can be together. Plus you can see that Jim is still so protective of her. Karen is a likeable partner for Jim and Im glad they didnt make her a shrew. Unfortunately she is with a man who is so connected to another woman that she cant compete with their incredible bond. I mean Jenna and John are just so good in their scenes and it is effortless and feels so real. And the way the writers give them these incredible subtle scenes to showcase their love is so brilliant. Jims's look as he turns his chair and then Pam listening to Andy but thinking of Jim is so well done. I cant express how much I love this couple and the way the writers let them be so ordinary in one sense but so obviously connected in every sense of the word. It just amazes me how such subtle little actions can convey such deep feeling and attraction. I think this is very rare on TV as love has to be sexual or showed by some grand gesture in most cases. With Pam and Jim it is all there to see without a word or a touch.
I actually paid attention to every moment of The office and even it's deleted scenes but I don't remember Andy Hitting on Pam at all. I laughed very hard. This chemistry between Jim and Pam is priceless! The way she looks at him at the end is one of their purest moments ♥
I think this goes to show that Pam liked Jim more because he knew her so well that he managed to get Andy to do exactly everything she dislikes. This, made Pam like Jim even more
What i love about this is that it manages to show both how not right for each other pam and andy are and how right for each other pam and jim are at the same time.
The one thing that makes their relationship so special in the show is because they were such great friends before. Your significant other is more than your lover; they’re your best friend.
This scene is way deeper than his banjo as that's just a sideline that he can actually play and sing. Good for him. The real nugget here is the return of Pam and Jim reconnecting and it is so perfect and natural and returns us to those great moments of season 1 when these two were soooooooooo connected!

For Jim and Pam (also considering her getting back at him) was the loudest "I love you" in all of that series. I wish they would hae kept Pam's revemge prank in that let to Jim telling Andy about the Banjo playing.
