    I love how at the end it's very quiet unlike other chopin masterpieces like ballades,it's as if chopin had no more energy and just wanted to slowly die out.

      But then what about the last one fortissimo chord?

    • @POP_CAT_KOR
      @POP_CAT_KOR 7 месяцев назад +7

      @@richardchiu9832 kind of thought that the chord in the end was representative of one last final, triumphant breath after all that has happened in the music - so it's doesn't symbolize like a new start, but rather a final retrospective of all the struggles and efforts. At least that's how i interpreted it

      The Ballades, that is except the 2nd.

      For me, this ending is like Chopin is accepting death. Kind of sounds like what you are describing in a way so that makes me even more sure of this theory

    This piece encompasses so much and the form is incredibly imaginative and diverse yet somehow works. It's almost like a Polonaise-Ballade hybrid.

      @@lisztomaniac2718 Of course, because it's by Chopin, who is the 3rd most famous composer in history. But on the Chopin scale, it is really obscure, especially considering its sheer scale and greatness

    Thank you very much for this. The coda is as if its Chopin put everything and his emotions into it, like as if it was his last piece written.

    My favourite piece by Chopin along with the 4th ballade. A true journey of the soul.
    My favourite performance is by Horowitz (1966).

    I am "ashamed" to say I prefer it very much over the super famous n⁰6 😅

    At 0:34 can someone pls explain to me the reason behind that cluster of naturals/accidentals?

    • @wolowolowolowolowolowolowo2417
      @wolowolowolowolowolowolowo2417  7 месяцев назад +3

      The key signature changed from B major (with sharps) to A flat major (with flats). So, it resets the sharps in the key signature with those naturals, before using the flats.
