- I was so excited for these when I heard about the drop. But they weren't exactly how I had them back in the 90s. Still great though!!
thank you due watching!! - Развлечения
Bring back my childhood memories❤😊🎉🎉🎉🎉😱💯👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Thanks for the review! I grabbed Leo tonight, but I couldn't tell just by looking if the plastic was rubbery or not. Without that feature, I'm happy just returning him to the store.
Noooo!!! 😩😩 keep it!! Its still a very awesome figure!! ... but yea, that soft material was awesome. Your call though 😝😝
Yeah I found Mikey, definitely want to find Leo, Donny and Raph. The nostalgia these bring on is insane. Aside from the different colors they're painted, I don't have many gripes on them. Maybe the fact they didn't come with the accessories as the originals.
I figured as much initially but you're right. They are not the same weapons as the originals. The chucks on mikey snapped. The little rope thing, just tore from the stress of the way it was positioned. Really thin but brittle.
@@TheJfury1030 right, same with mine as I had one set of chucks on his belt. A day or so if it being like that, it broke. It's a wonder what kind of plastic our toys were made of when we were younger, especially with all the rough play through childhood. Our toys were durable, for the most part. They wouldn't break right out the box.
@@KootenaiKing as the saying goes... they sure don't make'em like they used to. Stuff is definitely cheaply made these days. Sucks
The hook sword is supposed to be a "Kama". If you have Leo or the Shredder, I'd recommend this as an off-hand weapon. I never understood why they had 2 different fist daggers.
Yea me either. I felt they added unnecessary weapons most times.
@@TheJfury1030 if I had a choice of extra weapons for, Donatello and the Shredder would have a naginata Michaelangelo would have a kusari-gama (chained weapon with a hooked end for grabbing weapons), Raphael is well suited by the fist daggers, but I wonder how he'd do with kunai.
@@Quintesson05 👌👌 indeed
I got Leo and Mike last weekend, and was disappointed twice.
1.) The skin texture and lack of elbow articulation.
2.) The 1987 parts trees are so thick! 5th grade _me_ was able to remove every item without using tools. I tried to remove Leo's katanas and stabbed my finger trying to cut one of them off the sprue! 😢😱 when I did get them free, the swords edges look like they'd been sanded of shaved in spots. (They never would've made the cut on Forged in Fire.) For that reason I haven't attempted to free Mike's nunchuks or *any* of the minor weapons (kamas, fist daggers, or throwing stars).
I may be wrong, but I could've sworn 1992 Movie Star Mike had thicker nunchuks than 1988 Michaelangelo. (This could explain why the swords are so loose in 2023 Movie Star Leo's sheathes.)
Would've never made the cut on forged in fire 🤣🤣🤣 ... I don't blame you. You're right actually. Like they just reused the reissue weapons rather than what they originally gave us for the 92 movie turtles. I just found out today while rearranging my turtles, that the chucks rope on mikey snapped. They were positioned to where of course, it's bent, but seems they just snapped from the stress of being folded. Even the ones placed in his belt holster. Thinking about making a short on showcasing the damage ... sucks. And true, these weapons trays were super tough to remove
Great video! I was excited about these too. but I think I might pass on them since they don't have the same plastic as the OG ones. I might buy a lose version from 1992
They still make a great stand in piece! But hope you find the ones you want at a great deal
These are remakes and of course don't have the same plastics as the OG 90s ones!, but these are still rubbery to some degree and reason they changed that is so these figures can stand as the old ones didn't stand good over time. But these are definitely a throwback and any TMNT fan like myself takes notice and grabs them for his collection. I have all 4 as well as the remake storage shell figures and the new Mutant Meyham 4 Turtles basics.
Agreed... and they do hold up much better
@@TheJfury1030 were probably the same age guessing! Born 1986? LOL I grew up loving the turtles and still do today. Same with Power Rangers and Sega Genesis
@mattmaverick703 I'm '84... so yea, in the same age group. But definitely all about sega genesis!! My focus at the moment is tryna get my favorite fighting games and figures! For me, it was all about street fighter, mk, my favorite is Virtua Fighter, 2 to be exact. I love double dragon, final fight, and ninja gaiden!
@@TheJfury1030 awesome 👍 same here! Trying to hang on to my youth and good times/ memories though stuff we grew up with!
I recently also came across a remake 80s Krang and Shredder got them but are in search of the Foot Soldier still!
Man I had three foot. I kept one and sold 2 to a fellow collector on an fb group
I'm sure a few more restocks will come
@@TheJfury1030 hope they do a remake on the movie 3 uniformed warrior turtles too! So getting them as well
I bought these…. They aren’t rubbery… I’m let down too, man.
I was really hoping for that original feel!! I was already feeling the nostalgia but no... just a different, slightly thinner plastic 😐😐🤣🤣
Очень круто 👍🏻🔥
You unnecessarily swear alot... like you were raised in a prison or on a construction site. I'm curious why?
What the eff you talking about? 😂😂
I'm just doin a raw review. I don't follow a script nor mask the perception to appease viewers. I try and keep it as real as possible hence, Furys Figures. I'm not like most other reviewers who are licking the boots of companies like hasbro or mcfarlane and deem them "great " solely for their 'sponsorship' or goin with the mass hype.
But thank you... I hope your day goes fkn awesome and best of luck on your hunts!
