It really doesn’t show that your mind can structure ideas in unprepared situation so that is not considered as imprumpto. answered the question in a quick reponse with out giving time to prepare and think.- that is how I performed. the fact that i have 24 topics to study for my impromptu speech and each of us will be given "one random topic from those 24 topics" we've studied 💀 and we literally have 2 minutes to think and brainstorm the topic given to us and deliver it for atleast 2 minutes-
We had an exam and at the end of it says "dont forget the last part of our exam will be impromptu speech" and that was 1 week ago. And later at 2pm will be our impromptu speech and the rest of the class really forgot about our impromptu speech.
I have my impromptu speech in about 2 weeks on Halloween, it's my first time ever public speaking... I've never really even talked out loud in class before but for some reason I took a debate class. If someone that knows what they're talking about sees this please give me some advice for my speech and thank you so much if you do.

@ZenitsuKun generally it went well. I didn't do bad but I also never ranked very high either. I only did it for like 2 years and the best i did was like 7th place

My impromptu speech is in 30 minutes. Luckily we get to prep for 6 minutes in the hall and may use Google. I’m not all that nervous about speaking, but I am in a way I have no experience.
Franco Vidal sure I have tips. I'm actually beginning a forensics class with improv as a category. You need to prepare by having your friends or family give u random topics, and u do a skit with that topic.
Franco Vidal no actually that was a poor idea, the term "practice makes perfect" can't be any more true in this case. I promise you the more you practice the more confident you will be and the less nervous you will be on stage
Yes, take 20 adjectives and write down any thesis you think would work for them. Do that as much as possible. That way, you have a lot of thesis in your head. Then do a lot of research and read books and watch movies. That way you have a lot of examples to use in your speeches. Finally, have someone assign you 3 random topics. Then come up with impromptu speeches. Do that about once a week. You have to practice and remain calm. Watch a few speeches and learn their tips. Then you CAN'T go wrong. Best of luck :)

Don't be nervous and open your mouth wide enough so that you won't stutter and the syllables don't get mixed up.
