Courtneys one take vocal performance of Beauty of Suffering is a must watch after you've heard the song, even in your own time. She gets so into the song. It's sad she said she'll never sing it live at gigs.
From a Twitter Q&A they did a week ago they mentioned that after the Eternal Blue tour they would start to play more self titled tracks including BoS. So one can dream 🤞
This song fucking slaps so hard! Harder than Holy Roller in my opinion. The drums in this song are killer, especially that part with the blurtas! By far my favorite SB song!
I can't listen to this without crying, especially now. I am at my lowest mentally, I've been through a lifetime of pain over the past two years and even on the good days, the ending always made me cry. This and Eternal Blue. Both of them hit so hard for me.
Yes! The Beauty of Suffering is the only one of my faves that I have not seen live. The more I listened to this song, the more I fell in love with it. So raw, powerful lyrics, and an absolutely haunting ending!
Their Singles Collection "era" is probably my favorite, but the self-titled EP is a close second. Pure vibes, emotion and aggression on this EP. And I really appreciate (and miss) the focus on the prog-heavy parts in their earlier music. It's just such a daring and creative sound they created. Oh and Josh if you haven't checked out Mike and Courtney's work on the last iwrestledabearonce album (called Hail Mary I believe), I think it's really worth going back to. There's a lot of proto-Spititbox influence on that album with a lot more math-y chaotic energy. Really cool and unique stuff. They have music videos for the songs Gift of Death and Green Eyes, those are both absolute bops and I highly recommend checking them out.
This EP was all I had of Spiritbox when I started listening to them. I've listened to this album so much but it is still amazing. Perennial is probably still my favorite song they have ever released.
Wow, never heard this either! If the polyrhythmic breakdown appealed to you it really reminded me of Bleed by Messhuggah. So much that it could be a full homage. If you've not heard that it reaction worthy 👍
If I had to guess, making the singles a collection was just to make it easier for fans to purchase all at once plus they get the opportunity to put out merch for it. While fans (especially older ones) expect albums, singles seem to be the way to build hype. Being able to continuously release new content every few months keeps fans engaged and excited. Looking forward to Trust Fall and Electric Cross. They are very different, but both awesome. The Singles Collection is my favorite group of songs from Spiritbox. I have wondered if they spent more time on those songs individually, perfecting them without the time crunch of making an EP or an LP.
The Sirius XM version of this song is the best version they've ever done. They're unlikely to ever play this one live but it's my favorite song of theirs.
Her harsh vocals in this version of the beauty of suffering give me female Bryan Garris vibes, but if you listen to the live Sirius XM version it’s sooooooo much better imo. Just more development from the whole band!
Finally someone reacting to this song! The version I like the most is this Sirius XM Liquid Metal "Metal Detector" Live Show: ruclips.net/video/tA0-WXsm-T0/видео.html
The Beauty Of Suffering will always be one of my all time favorites, just like Perennial

Did she say that? And why she don't want to? Can you remember where it was said? thx
They played Mara 3 last year at a show so its definitely possible.

Yuh those two songs hit like a truck. But I’m sorry you’re going through all of that, I wish you well

I love almost everything from spiritbox including their newest stuff, but their self titled EP was their magnum opus.
This song is like if the bands Down, Crowbar, Fear Factory and Meshuggah wrote a song.
Definitely hear Fear Factory in there.
Crowbar and Down too

Iooooove this track so much! You should see their live performance, it's a one take, they kill it
This is my favourite Spiritbox song. That image is on my favourite r-shirt. 🤟😁
Spiritbox will go down as one of those bands that peaked before they were known widely by everyone. It’s both a blessing and unfortunate

Trust Falll is amazing, can't wait for your reaction to that one

I love spirtbox I need to go back and re listen to spirtbox entrnal blue came out in 2021 and the singles collection came out in 2019.
The very first song I’ve heard from them when Courtney did the live vocal. To this day top 2 songs from them.

This was the first song they wrote.
