Once I was carrying two gallons of milk on each side of the scooter handles home, and a kid asked, “why are you riding a scooter as an adult?”. I lost words because his perspective was legit. Couple years later, electric scooters came out, and many adults rode on the streets. Hope that answered that kid.

My mom used to do that back in the '70s. She'd walk home with the cart, and it would never be there to return when she got out. I don't know if it's the case where somebody else doing grocery shopping just brought it back on their way to the store, or if somebody came to get it. But, that was the '70s and there probably were store workers that were out delivering groceries that got them.

My stepdad used to be a sandblaster and his company had an order to blast all the carts then they’d coat them. The guy was saying that carts are actually expensive to replace.
My Aunt developed late onset schizophrenia and refused medication. By the time she reached her late 60's, 5' tall, 85lbs, her car no longer ran and the closest market was 2 miles away. She would not permit our family to help in any way. The market manager saw her carrying her groceries home, found out where she lived and made sure to find her a cart she could use to make the trip. There should be a program in place for those in need.

My niece used to do this when she didn't have a car or any other transportation. She raised her kids to help her. She has been gone for 13 1/2 years. She has breast cancer that metastasized to bone cancer. May she RIP .

They could have probably learned something on the ride, like inginuity, humanity, and maybe everyone doesn't have it as easy as yourselves. It's potentially a good solution if you only need a few bags worth of light items. There's also carts you can buy that handle a bit more. It's smart to have some cushioning for the neck.

I was pregnant needed fire wood . Went in woods cut down a tree limbed it. Went to house built a harness for my Great Dane St. Bernard mix. And Went back to the woods and we drug the tree back to the house where I cut it up. Duke was a machine. ❤

I think this is brilliant! I’m an older woman with arthritis, sometimes it’s just as bad trying to get my cart out of car & as it is to just carry the bags. Placing the bags on my arms is not an option, that just causes bruises. I always carry my own bags, the plastic bags tear when I’m about halfway to the door, nothing like chasing a can down the street. Gawd, forbid a gallon of milk hits the pavement, yeah, been there also. 😂 I must add, I have some great neighbors, teenagers (boys & girls), when they see my trunk open they come to my rescue, usually unloaded before I’m even out of my car. Kids being taught what’s important in life, instead of making $$ off of my unfortunate situation.

You might try a small wagon. Maybe one of those kind that folds up when not in use, like people use at the beach. Try to get one small enough that it fits through your door so you can roll the groceries right into your kitchen. My husband helps with the groceries (I don't drive so I'm never shopping alone anyway) but I love to garden and do things around my home. I wouldn't be able to do much of it without my wagon.

Standing ovation young lady. 45 years ago when I had my baby ,no car, umbrella stroller, lived in a three story apartment you had to carry shopping, laundry with you baby! I don’t regret anything about it but was thankful I was given the strength and tenacity to do what was needed

My mom used to do that back in the '70s. She'd walk home with the cart, and it would never be there to return when she got out. I don't know if it's the case where somebody else doing grocery shopping just brought it back on their way to the store, or if somebody came to get it. But, that was the '70s and there probably were store workers that were out delivering groceries that got them.

My stepdad used to be a sandblaster and his company had an order to blast all the carts then they’d coat them. The guy was saying that carts are actually expensive to replace.
My Aunt developed late onset schizophrenia and refused medication. By the time she reached her late 60's, 5' tall, 85lbs, her car no longer ran and the closest market was 2 miles away. She would not permit our family to help in any way. The market manager saw her carrying her groceries home, found out where she lived and made sure to find her a cart she could use to make the trip. There should be a program in place for those in need.

My niece used to do this when she didn't have a car or any other transportation. She raised her kids to help her. She has been gone for 13 1/2 years. She has breast cancer that metastasized to bone cancer. May she RIP .

I'm so glad these people posted this video, so they can read the comments and find out how stupid and rude they are. They should be talking about how resourceful she is and then offering her a ride. They could have probably learned something on the ride, like inginuity, humanity, and maybe everyone doesn't have it as easy as yourselves. If she was smart, she'd have a folding cart to be able to get real groceries.

It's potentially a good solution if you only need a few bags worth of light items. There's also carts you can buy that handle a bit more. It's smart to have some cushioning for the neck.

I was pregnant needed fire wood . Went in woods cut down a tree limbed it. Went to house built a harness for my Great Dane St. Bernard mix. And Went back to the woods and we drug the tree back to the house where I cut it up. Duke was a machine. ❤

I think this is brilliant! I’m an older woman with arthritis, sometimes it’s just as bad trying to get my cart out of car & as it is to just carry the bags. Placing the bags on my arms is not an option, that just causes bruises. I always carry my own bags, the plastic bags tear when I’m about halfway to the door, nothing like chasing a can down the street. Gawd, forbid a gallon of milk hits the pavement, yeah, been there also. 😂
I must add, I have some great neighbors, teenagers (boys & girls), when they see my trunk open they come to my rescue, usually unloaded before I’m even out of my car. Kids being taught what’s important in life, instead of making $$ off of my unfortunate situation.

You might try a small wagon. Maybe one of those kind that folds up when not in use, like people use at the beach. Try to get one small enough that it fits through your door so you can roll the groceries right into your kitchen. My husband helps with the groceries (I don't drive so I'm never shopping alone anyway) but I love to garden and do things around my home. I wouldn't be able to do much of it without my wagon.
