This is the thing bro. Zion appears to have his mind set on New York. Like he’s convinced. Unfortunately, through no fault of your own since the Pelicans have done absolutely everything they can to make him happy, he’s gone at the earliest possible chance. It sucks because I don’t think there’s anything New Orleans can do to keep him.
We have seen this before. When a player doesn't want to be on a team there are several ways to leave a team. The "training staff" is one of them. Shoutout to Kawhi. It is what it is. Players seem to be under the impression these NBA teams are lucky to have them and the fans are lucky to be able to support them.
I’m gonna be honest, I don’t see Zion going anywhere, especially the Knicks. The Pelicans have done everything to go a good ass team around Zion and it’s only the beginning. Hopefully, Zion stays true to the city, coach Willie Green, and the rest of the team.

@@rome8180 they could either trade him for peanuts on the dollar or loose him in free agency in a year. I understand that the cupboard is empty for the Knicks and Lakers but getting low value is better than getting none at all. The pelicans could get a better deal elsewhere but Zion still has to want to play for that team or he’ll just not resign and you’ll be trading for one year of Zion.
As a Knicks fan, I truly believe our one realistic shot at a title is by getting Zion! It makes sense since he wanted to play in NY and we have RJ and Cam. We could have a big 3 in a few years that will all be under 25 so after KD and Lebron are either too old or retired we got a shot at building a contender that other top FAs will want to join. Besides the Greek Freak, a healthy Kawhi Leonard, Joel Embiid and an older Curry n Thompson who else would really be in our way? Ja Morant cant do it himself in Memphis and their record is actually better without him. IDK maybe I'm just being a Knicks fan but I see this as our way to our 1st title in over 45-50 years!!
CAA represents everyone. But CAA is like the ESPN for agencies. I'm an actor with an agency. I'll tell you CAA even right now, they buy up all the big agencies and represent every movie star to athlete in several divisions globally. It's really not some big secret.
The small market effect is a big issue on sports teams, more so in the NBA. I think is this can be manage create a super league with 8 to 10 teams with 2 divisions with a super final Small Market vs Big Market teams I don't see another solution.
If I'm the Pelicans if I move Zion to New York I make 100% sure I got RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish just a these to make sure that I Zion is going to screw up my team and force a trade then I'm going to make sure I take away every part of Zion's dream team up and wishes in New York with those other Duke teammates if I was the owner or even the GM I would demand those 2 guys1 in the trade and if they are not in the deal don't even call to offer because the answer is NO SERIOUSLY Randle and Toppin has no value to New Orleans so its the younger guys with up side or another team will be getting him!!!!

I'll be happy about the Knicks even considering Zion in his current state if he manages to finish out the season without any major injuries 😒

Nobody wants to play in New Orleans, star players especially. Major free agents do go to markets like that.
Zion is injury prone due to both his weight and his playstyle. Also he's aware how NO wasted the good chunk of AD career. However, now Pelicans have good pieces and trade to NYK would probably deplete the Knicks, the same way the Carmelo's trade did.
Worth it
I can’t disagree with anything you just said. I had/have so many questions about this guy. Like “where have you been??” “Are you even committed to the team???” Some of the answers given gave so much more context than what’s currently discussed on news feed.. it’s either something about the other team from Soutthern California, or something about the first team from California 😂😂😂
Dude is gonna go down as one of the biggest "what if's" ever. Will never be that guy. Ja on the other hand....gonna be an all-time great.
I swear y’all are bugging. He played the entirety of last season healthy and put up prime Shaq numbers in the paint and set efficiency records in just his second season. It’s way too early to give up on hin

Man I feel bad for New Orleans, such a great bball city. You can see it from his manurism that he's heart is not with the city. He's trying ,but I think having his family constantly on his ears turned him off completely from New Orleans, whether it was because of the medical staff , or wanting to be in a big city . He was prolly willing to stick it out and try it, but when you already have that doubts and your family heckling you ! Oh boy I would dissappear too. 1 extension and he's out. Hopefully not!
Some young super stars want to play for a big city.
This team is gonna be lethal if Zion gives it a chance, with CJ the pelicans looking like playoff/play-in material, I want to see a David vs Goliath story, I want to see the Pels compete.

This is the thing bro. Zion appears to have his mind set on New York. Like he’s convinced. What I learned most from this video is that the reason Randle can do whatever he wants is because he is also CAA
LMAOOOOO
We have seen this before. When a player doesn't want to be on a team there are several ways to leave a team. The "training staff" is one of them. Shoutout to Kawhi. It is what it is. Players seem to be under the impression these NBA teams are lucky to have them and the fans are lucky to be able to support them.
Yeah I mean the Kawhi Uncle stuff we saw a few years ago is weirdly similar idk I do hope NO thrives though!
@@MikeKorzemba Thank you. Appreciate that.
Regardless i will always prefer players having the power bc we’ve seen how owners are
Wow never knew about CAA and the Knicks... all of the sudden Steven A makes alot more sense 🤔
For real
I’m gonna be honest, I don’t see Zion going anywhere, especially the Knicks. The Pelicans have done everything to go a good ass team around Zion and it’s only the beginning. Hopefully, Zion stays true to the city, coach Willie Green, and the rest of the team.
Look at kawhi Leonard, he had everything to win another championship but he still left, I think Zion is on the same situation.

Only thing Zion isn't fooling is the weight scale.
Why don’t you go look at the pictures of him in New Orleans a couple days ago. He looks a lot slimmer now. So all these weight jokes are already starting to get stale and lame.
He should spend time working on the game asap. Being on the court and learning his body. Difference between talent and greatness is work hard.

@@ruikizo You remember the KD, Kyrie, and Zion picture? That's the one I meant. But the Duke trio still would be awesome. Too bad we don't play Reddish🤦🏾♂️.
If Zion wants to get to a big market, it's not gonna be the Knicks or the Lakers. Not unless New Orleans lets Zion get to free agency. If they want to trade Zion, NY and LA just don't have the pieces to get him. There are a dozen teams around the league that could easily beat their best offer.
Zion holds all the leverage if he wants those teams he’s gonna get there
Zion is about to become a free agent soon. He can go for free or new Orleans can take whatever they can get for him
@@jtodar27 other teams will offer more.
@@Bearsfan15654 let's look other situations where a player supposedly held "all the leverage." Even if they refused to be traded to any team but one, the team doing the trade still got what they were worth.
Find me an example of a trade that would be the equivalent of what New Orleans would get from NY or LA. You can't. No matter how much leverage a player holds, trades that unbalanced never happen.
@@rome8180 they could either trade him for peanuts on the dollar or loose him in free agency in a year. I understand that the cupboard is empty for the Knicks and Lakers but getting low value is better than getting none at all. Cavs got back peanuts for Kyrie, Spurs didn’t get equal value for Kawhi, Rockets got the worst end of the Harden and the cavs who were in that deal got Jarret Allen who’s a star. The pelicans could get a better deal elsewhere but Zion still has to want to play for that team or he’ll just not resign and you’ll be trading for one year of Zion.
Love the research ! Very awesome insight !!!! 👍👍👍
yo mad respect abt the mental health part, i really dont think its talked about enough with pro sports.
Happy for Zion

i just have to say it. mike been a fan for years just wanted to say u are a great person. you morals r ideal asf
CAA represents everyone. But CAA is like the ESPN for agencies. I'm an actor with an agency. I'll tell you CAA even right now, they buy up all the big agencies and represent every movie star to athlete in several divisions globally. It's really not some big secret.
Zion at MSG with RJ and Reddish would be sick! Does NY still have its receipt for Randle?
Zion is getting the Duke band back together in New York 😆
The small market effect is a big issue on sports teams, more so in the NBA. I think is this can be manage create a super league with 8 to 10 teams with 2 divisions with a super final Small Market vs Big Market teams I don't see another solution.
Give him a max contract at your peril
Makes you appreciate how healthy lebron has stayed
If I'm the Pelicans if I move Zion to New York I make 100% sure I got RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish just a these to make sure that I Zion is going to screw up my team and force a trade then I'm going to make sure I take away every part of Zion's dream team up and wishes in New York with those other Duke teammates if I was the owner or even the GM I would demand those 2 guys1 in the trade and if they are not in the deal don't even call to offer because the answer is NO
SERIOUSLY Randle and Toppin has no value to New Orleans so its the younger guys with up side or another team will be getting him!!!!
Literally imagine the celebration if New Orleans won a chip in the future 💀

Zion can pull the AD and say I’m not committed to that team. And like kawhi to raptors only stay 1 season
@@burning1ko Kawhi was a FMVP, AD was a multiple all star top 5 player, he will not have the same pull
@@glizzymixtapes1404 regardless Zion is very young and like he showed with the pelicans this season he can wait out anything. Why? Cause he will get his way, if he didn’t think so he would be playing already
@@burning1ko yeah but even if they decide to trade him, which they could choose not to becaus even someone like Ben Simmons has more pull than him, it doesn’t mean the Knicks have good enough assets
@@glizzymixtapes1404 okay here’s the options
1. Decide not the trade him, which Would mean A. He still doesn’t play and finishes his contract to sign in FA ( very probable look at this season) or B. Plays games, Stay in NO sign a Max contact and see what happens ( neither Chris Paul or AD stayed past)
2. Trade him, Knicks have 5 1st round picks the next 4 years, Zion has all the power in this just like Ben Simmons. The difference? Ben had 4 years on his contract. Zion after next season signs a qualifying and can leave. So that’s 2 years of Zion. And only 1 1/2 seasons to trade.
Tldr: if you can’t make Zion happy ( which he’s not) trade em. If your a team that’s not in Zions list. Don’t trade for him

Dude, when was the last time somebody said they wanted to play for the Knicks? I've heard this since Chris Paul was leaving NOLA. Seriously, which gigantic player made a commitment to New York. If you're good, you'd obviously go to the Nets and make that work.
RJ and Cam would be his reasoning
I think him not releasing is statement after months of the 21-22 season tells us everything we need to know.
Especially with all the chatter their was about him and wanting to leave.

Zion for AD. Zion gets his big market snd Davis comes home to NOLA where he’d be a great fit with Ingram and CJ McCollum. Though LeBron would never let this happen unless he was also leaving to play with Bronny
I would love to see a Zion for Kemba trade. Zion always wanted to play for the Knicks & probably still does w/ his Duke buddies RJ & Cam being there. The salaries matchup. Maybe add Obi, Quickley, Mitchell Robinson & two future picks & we'll probably throw in Kira Lewis in there too.
Delusional
Another reason why Zion is likely to go to the Knicks is because his 2 best friends RJ Barret and Cam Reddish that he played with in duke, are now on the Knicks
Did anyone notice at 14:33 where it says “sneaker blows up on Lakers rookie?”
