After years of owning Akai EWI I made the switch to AE-20 and all I can say is wow. So frustrated I didn’t make the switch years ago. For Sax players Aerophone is it. Akai isn’t even a close second. I highly recommend the Go model for practice in addition to the pro model. The small Go can be played anywhere. The others are larger and heavy and require standing, sitting upright with neck harness.
Great music and a way to show the instrument. I would like to know the sound scenes that she used during the performance. Are their stores presets or she had preprogrammed? If you guys can tell it would be great. Thanks!
Magnificent performance! I have nothing but positive things to say about her playing. I found this video, because I bought a competitor digital sax and I'm disappointed with the accuracy, consistency and the huge amount of pressure needed to actuate some keys. I found this video because I surfed over to the Roland website to explore buying this instrument. Key layout. Ergonomics. This video (great musicianship notwithstanding) actually annoyed me -- the camera seemed to be only incidentally pointed to The Instrument in glimpses, and when I could see the whole instrument, she was moving so much I couldn't discern much at all. The video informs me to want to buy her music, not the instrument, insofar key layout is a concern. There are some good digital saxophones out there, and as a person who plays real saxophones, I am really interested in these new products as companion instruments, especially where being able to practice while muted to others is concerned. The more a digital instrument approximates the ergonomics of a real saxophone, the better -- given that purpose. The thing that motivated me to post this comment was this: Looking through the Roland website after seeing this video on their woodwind landing page, I didn't see much else that helped me see or understand the ergonomics. Anyway, Hailey can play! That's the takeaway.

Funny, despite all the positive comments, this video nearly persuaded me NOT to get an Aerophone. Music being a subjective thing, I didn't like the sound, the songs, or the vibe of the video. But, after doing more research, I was curious enough about wind synths to order an Aerophone Go (AE-05). Mostly looking for an option to learn/practice the saxophone at home without disturbing anybody. As far as the onboard/app sounds go, I have heard good things about SWAM Saxophone audio modeling as an alternative, which would would still save money over the Aerophone Pro (AE-30).
I changed my opinion. You can't compare it to a classical saxophone, but it has a synthesizer modulated always by breath. If you can play it, and you have to be a good saxophonist for that, you can do some great things, like in this piece 😁.
I just don't see the point other than to enable clarinet and woodwind instrument players in general the ability to create in a different medium usually reserved for keyboard players.

Hi , Which one better mimics the tenor sax and the keys. Some say octave keys hard to press on the AE 30 .. Trying to decide the AE10 Or the AE30 Thanks!
To me, they don't feel like they are hard to press... I do still have a little trouble with the first lower octave button (-1) jumping back up sometimes, but I think it's more a matter that it's the opposite side of your thumb than you'd usually use on a sax , and I'm pressing it at a strange angle and it has to be very precise, so sometimes I might move too much.. But I think that's just going to be a matter of getting used to it, and definitely nothing that should sway your decision either way.
