For all the hats this game gets I will give props to the modelers for the beautiful hand meshes, and to the animators for the good quality of the animations themselves, even if they’re inaccurate a lot of the time.
Reloading is great, but the sounds aren't convincing. Also, a lot of the guns are inaccurately reloaded and portrayed, such as the Type 5, the Karabin (this is the most noticeable), the M1/M2 Carbine, AS-44, Toggle-Action (Walther) and the base bolt-actions.
Interesting on how one of the weapons in this game was created a bit after this game takes place and the gun talking about is the sturmgewher, a last ditch rifle made by Germany for civils to use. Really made in a rush.
You'd listen to only the sounds and you wouldn't know which weapon is which. It's important each gun gets its own sounds, it's what makes these animations work
Anyone who is still confused about the mag fed M1 Garand at 2:36, there was a prototype of this rifle that had a removable box mag. Forgotten Weapons did a video about this gun.
I remembered when WW2 still new game. Many people were complaining bout the M1 Garand's animation was fully wrong. English isn't my main language. Edit: forgot using some past tenses on few words.
That’s why the community complained, because the Garand’s bolt would push forward on it’s own. You’re meant to support the bolt with your hand to stop the bolt from clamping into your thumb and the animators completely overlooked it. If anything, knowing about the Garand thumb makes the animation look worse

2:53 tactical reload in WW2 games
@@raisaahmad5525 *cough **_VANGUARD_** cough*
For all the hats this game gets I will give props to the modelers for the beautiful hand meshes, and to the animators for the good quality of the animations themselves, even if they’re inaccurate a lot of the time.
0:31 my only favourite reload animation in the game.
Did you find dutch?
It’s about the only good one
I finishd the mw2 remastered campaign in one day, looking forward for the mw2 weapon showcase.
The sheer blandness of these reloads honestly never fails to impress me
Reloading is great, but the sounds aren't convincing. Also, a lot of the guns are inaccurately reloaded and portrayed, such as the Type 5, the Karabin (this is the most noticeable), the M1/M2 Carbine, AS-44, Toggle-Action (Walther) and the base bolt-actions.
The Toggle Action only has the magazine because semi-auto mag fed shotguns seem to be mandatory for any modern COD game.
@@Calvin_Coolage u forgot the m1 grand
Does everyone forget that the c96 doesn’t and never had a box mag
@@beanboy5295 The C96 had a machine pistol variant called the M712, also known as the Schnellfeuer. It was mag fed, sold to the Chinese.
Sometimes the reloading sounds like the developers were just jumbling a few lego blocks around.
Interesting on how one of the weapons in this game was created a bit after this game takes place and the gun talking about is the sturmgewher, a last ditch rifle made by Germany for civils to use. Really made in a rush.
Man I love these. So crisp.
1:45 have fun with this
Haven't seen yet a channel that shows ONLY the reload animations. That's great, and how it should be, in my view.
Is nobody going to notice the fact that the rifle in 1:05 is not being loaded at all? The dude is just fiddling his fingers next to the bolt.
He is pushing the bullets into the bullethole (sorry I don't know the actual term)
@@bedebop3904 1:05, my mistake, will make an edit
A bug
the reloads while holding 2 guns are like goldeneye, i love it
1:45 wonderful ping of the m1 garand
There aren't a lot, but there are definitely some good animations in this game. The weapon inaccuracies are unacceptable though.
Só algumas de ferrolho são imprecísas
Ah yes. Thank you for providing me with this beautiful ASMR
You call these awful sounds beautiful ASMR?
You'd listen to only the sounds and you wouldn't know which weapon is which.
It's important each gun gets its own sounds, it's what makes these animations work
Funny enough, I have played this game so much, I know which reload sound is for each gun...
7:41 Vintage
Anyone who is still confused about the mag fed M1 Garand at 2:36, there was a prototype of this rifle that had a removable box mag. Forgotten Weapons did a video about this gun.
5:29 is my favorite
Too bad the weapon sucked
I love all the metallic sounds these older guns make.
0:52 the bullet still in the shot gun when he loads another round
Guys come back on this game, it's still very much alive and the best CoD MP on next-gen imo
Wow didn’t realize this game got quite some experimental rifles and smgs and I’m impressed devs actually found them
Likely noticed that BF1's experimental weapons sparked interest and thus decided to follow their example.
IlmariCSTV Yeah I’d prefer gun diversity to weapon authenticity
@@Ilmaricinema battlefield invented prototype weapons lmao
@@daddoba2618 Well not invented, but sure started using them first
@@daddoba2618 yeah right, battlefield invented them. Cause we all know there are stg44s with drum magazines with no stock in battlefield.
When you’ve been away from the game for so long you don’t recognise more than half of the weapons
0:07 activision does not know how a mauser works
@Maximilian Bien I know right, some games like bf1 got it spot on
@@jacobevans4533 they got it right, it's m712 full auto mauser
ahem, sledgehammer made cod ww2 and this is not a c96
7:33 I’m sorry but what the fuck is Daniels loading into that M1919?
0:16 imagine someone reload like that in real life
edit: and also 7:43
0:28 too
So, what is the new dlc gun?
Activision: BAR, but with PISTOL GRIP
Am I the only one that thinks the the Volksturmgewehr’s reload animation (4:04) is cool.
@@familyofsavag4406 he literally pull the charging handle pay attention
@@familyofsavag4406that entire upper part is the charging handle of the gun
Daniels' first day.
Daniel: "Sir, why's that soldier constantly reloading his weapons?"
Turner: "Don't worry rookie, he's just practicing."
2:25 Every gunsmith’s worst nightmare
0:26 0:28 how did insert ammo quickly?
Also he was faster a bit than single one in akimbo
0:12 , 0:28
Arthur Morgan : so you challenging me , mister ?
1:45 the sound was so damn satysfing
4:39 in don't think a Chauchat is closed bolt....
Update: It isn't. Open bolt.
I remembered when WW2 still new game. Many people were complaining bout the M1 Garand's animation was fully wrong. But now no one is complaining bout that anymore, because they got lesson that there's a risk while loading M1 Garand and that is the Garand Thumb.
P.s: sorry if my grammar is a bit sucks.
I'll be honest, the revolver reload is probably the oddest one I've seen so far
2:25 what ?? Kar98 has a detachable magazine ??
Mauz it’s a modification
@@ghosttoast8610 impossible there are no kar98 with detachable magazine MODIFICATION, i mean look at this steam community talks about it steamcommunity.com/app/476600/discussions/0/1473095965286220266/
That is a trench magazine, but was for the Gewehr 98, not the Kar98k. Also, trench magazines hold 20 rounds, not 7 like in COD WW2.
Like Akane said it's called a trench magazine but they were not detachable, you still had to load it through the receiver.
This game's sound design is always either really good(BAR, FG42 reloads, etc.) Or really bad (almost everything else)
most of these weapons got amazing textures tho, we should admit that.
Who else came here to listen to that sweet M1 Garand ping?
It's at 1:45. No need to watch the rest of the video.
Imma keep that for myself here
Never gets old, always great to hear whenever it's around in anything.
I never heard such calm reload sounds
Switching to your pistol is faster than reloading
Jeff Carroll thanks gaz
@@lumaseed6490 happy to help
Jeff Carroll Using your knife is even faster then switching to your pistol
@@ghosttoast8610 no one asked you.
What weapon is at 1:45? I wanna know for a audio project I'm working on and want authentic sounds of the empty chamber "ping" sound.
M1 grand
0:47 did that shotgun literally grow rear sights when the locking mechanism was moved to the side?
Gameplay purpose
Yes and the actual shotty/rifle did work like that. The third Chambers is a 7.62 round in a rifled barrel and as a secondary action when you switchen over the trigger to that barrel a set of sights flipped up sighted for that barrel specifically.
It's called the Luftwaffe Drilling and was intended as a survival gun should a pilot crash/eject or otherwise get stranded after air combat.
@@KIWI_DUDE. Thank you for informing me. I have now learned something new.
You got to love the M1 Garand ping
3:45 Literally got this weapon at my house.
@Ethan Kletschke Yes, i think every russian have PPSh-41
Won't have it for much longer 👀
I’m seeing reloading videos on recommend more often maybe it’s because it satisfying.
