Tony Stewart has made NASCAR a lot more entertaining than it would have been if he'd not been a part of it. I miss him as a driver and as a genuine character both on and off the track, but time moves on and things change. Anyway, congratulations, Mr. Stewart.
It's kind of fitting that the Joe Gibbs teammates Bobby Labonte and Tony Stewart go in together with Coach Gibbs.
It's a shame that Bobby, a true class act, had to share a stage with a lowlife coward like Tony.

Honestly, I think Stewart is probably the best overall driver motorsports has ever seen. In his prime, you could literally stick him in any kind of car on any kind of track and he'd be competitive at an elite level.

He's up there, yeah. I'd say Larson, but Stewart also has competitive open wheel success on top of dirt.
@@94nolo I just feel like Larson has got a lot more to prove to be able to take that title from Tony. Tony has won titles in both Indy and NASCAR. Larson also has one weakness that Tony never had: he's really struggled on superspeedways. Tony never struggled on any type of track, but Larson has a glaring weakness on superspeedways. Larson is great tho, imo he's the most talented driver on the planet right now.

I’m not too sure why I liked Tony so much. I think it was when me and my sister went to our local Home Depot and he was there signing autographs. I still have the apron he signed for me. He’ll always be one of my favorite drivers

If you’re a car person and a racing fan (any kind of racing) Tony Stewart is a household name. His sense of humor is amazing. People forget all these brave drivers risk their lives for our entertainment. A big congrats to Tony,

Tony is an awesome Driver and I have met him 4 times so far . In Canada and Florida , I appreciate the time he puts aside for his fans . This induction was pretty cool and well deserved .

I became a Tony Stewart fan in 1st grade, a year after his 2nd career title. Now as a junior in college, it’s crazy to see him being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Congratulations to him on a phenomenal career!

In my opinion, like the late and great Kobe Bryant in the NBA, Tony has two numbers: 14 and 20.
Tony's numbers are definitely a big deal. Yep.
Tony took the thoughts straight out of my head. I grew up as a youngster in the days of IROC and Days of Thunder. Saw the later years of Prime Dale Earnhardt Sr., Awesome Bill From Dawsonville, Davey, and saw Richard Petty's last race. But as a child I craved any footage and or knowledge I could get my hands on about actual racing on the beach, footage of the winged warriors, and Cale, Bobby, Donnie, David, and everyone else you can think of. Why? Because as a true fan of the sport, I wanted to experience what I'd never had a chance to experience. When the Prelude to the Dream became a reality, that was the greatest racing atmosphere I'd ever seen in my life. Big names, throwing it back on a small track is the coolest thing in the world. Makes the biggest little kid out of me. When Throwback weekend took off, I felt like the sport was headed in the right direction again. Then the Roval came to pass. I thought, the dream of seeing a Cup Race for points on dirt could become a reality. At somewhere like Kansas, Eldora, Bristol or something like that. That would literally be the coolest thing ever.
I've always been a big Harvick fan. And Tony was his buddy .. so automatically i had to like smoke too. Lol.
From everyone here in Indiana congrats Tony. Watched u win in Chicago a couple times and Indy. Your the Best!

Congratulations Tony "Smoke" Stewart. This is what it looks like when you have family and friends believe in your dreams. What the parents did was big and risky so they seen something the world didn't see. We need to stop calling our children's gifts mental illnesses and embrace their gifts. Old fashion families get what I mean. I am so glad he was able to pay his family back. Smoke has an amazing back story to why he made it. The old saying "it takes a village to raise a child" and the village raised a driver.
It's a shame he took that opportunity away from Kevin Ward Jr.

I didn't realize he raced for 18 seasons. Felt so short, but I guess it just flew by.
Now that all the Nascar greats are retired all the new drivers are boring they are not men they are kids.
I wish Tony would at least run the Daytona 500 few more times. I miss Tony and much respect and this is coming from a 40 year Earnhardt fan. The sport is missing these kinda drivers real men not afraid to speak there mind.

I suppose it is a nice tribute to drivers that raced when NASCAR was worth watching. Unfortunately the sport has been blemished with princess drivers and constant weekly rule changes that has made watching this sport painful.
