I remember well the first time I run a zero turn mower ! After five minutes of cutting on a half acre yard I decided that it was the best thing since sliced bread ! 😊 Thanks for sharing and take care. 👍
"Need more length"..AHAHA Couldn't help it..Nice job Tim, I have to take mine to Sear's for reg. maintenance in order to honor warranty on it..They do all that for me..Great Vid. Tim, Have a great day...
Tim I use the Gator blades on my Dixon. They are the mulching blades. I am pretty sure all of them are made by Oregon. I love them. Mine has the 30 hp Kohler engine on it. Yours is much easier to change the oil on. My Kohler started using oil and I suspected i would need to put new rings in it and the failure mode was bad head gasket. Seems Kohler has dropped the ball on their new engines. I put the newly engineered head gaskets on it and does not use a drop of oil in a season of mowing now. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to your videos.
Very, very nice video....you the man! Those "Zero Turn" mowers are nice and fast. I have an industrial model Kubota 26hp diesel (12 years and with foam filled front tires) and I'll never need another mover, ever in my life. I don't enjoy the luxury of having another person to come by and do my mowing, both girls are married (out of state) and have their own lawns to maintain. And yep, do your maintenance, a 'KEY THING' to stay on top of....and cheap compared to the repairs! ....13
You make doing maintenance look easy. I hope you get a rain gauge so you can tell us how much you are getting. You could carry one in your truck for the job site too. Have a great day.
Good video, love the shop videos. I agree on Oregon blades. I run them on my 26 HP Kubota zero turn. My Kubota dealer keeps them in stock and they are about the same price as Kubota OEM blades, seem like +/- $60/set.
One thing I'd mention to everyone is that some of the Deere mowers come with "prerounded" off bolts on the blades. To prevent skinning your knuckles and make it easy, weld on a nut on the head and you'll never have one slip off again.
Nice video. I own a small engine shop and the Kawasaki motor is by far the best one out there today. Far better than some of the Kohler and Briggs. I service one with about 950 hrs on it and runs like new. I use Amsoil 5/30 or 15/40 depending on the use and temps they run in. Thanks for the great video's.
Yes: The Command is not bad, however the Courage has had lots of issues with leaks and the engine case getting loose and bolts hitting the flywheel. Thanks for the comment
Man that rain does sound good on that tin roof. That could lead to a nap 😴 👍Great video. Oh how many hours you got on that mower 😂😂. Just kidding with you I started to ask you who’s mower it was. Take care thanks for the video
Have you ever changed the hydrostatic oil and filters, in both drive motors? Mine it was suggested, to change to do that, especially when it was new. The intervals of change aren’t nearly as often as you should change the engine oil. Not telling you how to maintain your equipment, just something you may or may not want to check into. Thanks for the video!
I can't believe I'm sitting here using up my very limited rural internet by watching somebody do something I've done so much I could probably do it in my sleep. Like the videos Tim have you ever done a sharpening your chain video cuz that's one I could use. js
Got one of the first Zero turns John Deere made M 665... 25 hp Kolher, 7 iron 60" deck 18 years old..... Batteries, blades, belts. oil filters hydrastatic oil and filter.......K&N air filter....Bad bamajama
Just curious if you balance your blades I do when I sharpen mine and you would be surprised just how much there out will save your spindle bearings in the long run see ya Napa mike
That rain hit here yesterday I think when I was able to do oil change I had a guy show me that trick but he used half a long plastic funnel he worked for cat lol he told me as he give half of the funnel cat would make sure I paid for the information and the whole funnel they did he replaced the turning pedals I thought they charged me double lol
Rockin Guy I have an older model John Deere Ztrak Z810A at 563 hours I changed the original spark plugs. Never had engine trouble. With Original spark plugs.
Have the same mower. Does the oil drain valve (90 part) twist when your loosening the other part with the socket? Mine seems like they twist together. Thanks
Great video as always. That rain was pounding the roof. Thought you changed the lights back to the other ones. The chain hoist is sweet for doing the blades. Don't have to worry about a floor Jack and if it will fall off when you get it high enough to get impact on it.
I bought the Oregon blades for my Husqvarna mower off the internet and they were the saddest, most poorly made, warped mower blades I have ever seen. I had to return them. Made me sad, I thought more of Oregon than to put out a product that low of a quality. Your blades looked way better, thicker and not warped.
I thought that at first, but none of them matched. all 3 blades were warped and wavy down the cutting edge and when you stacked them on each other none were warped and wavy in the same places. I think they did a bad job of heat treating the batch.
If you have a couple minutes to spare, watch Chad Prather's video about haters online, pretty funny but true. Later Taters ruclips.net/video/ztwFc71CCmQ/видео.html

What a cool dude and cool video. Thanks budd.
Must be nice to have your own landscaper I never got that lucky lol
Great video thanks for sharing
Nice video dude thanks
Over kill is under rated!. When it comes to filters the more surface area you have the better off you are that’s one reason I will not use fram
Now that you have got rid of the buzz in your lights , that you need to sound proof the roof for rain and hail that must have been loud cheers NZ.

I just bought a 54” 920M. I’ll have to check those bolts out.

Waterman one. Thanks for the response about the Kawasaki engine. I have the 30 hp Kohler. Always liked the Kohler until I got this one.
Yes: The Command is not bad, however the Courage has had lots of issues with leaks and the engine case getting loose and bolts hitting the flywheel. Thanks for the comment
I have the Command Pro.
nice equipment Tim, you got a wireless mic and Napa Mike says he's wired for sound lol
Man that rain does sound good on that tin roof. That could lead to a nap 😴 👍Great video. Oh how many hours you got on that mower 😂😂. Just kidding with you I started to ask you who’s mower it was. Take care thanks for the video
Those Pig Form a Funnels are really handy. Bought mine at my local NAPA..... Another trademark plug for ya...lol

Got one of the first Zero turns John Deere made M 665... 25 hp Kolher, 7 iron 60" deck 18 years old..... Batteries, blades, belts. oil filters hydrastatic oil and filter.......K&N air filter....Bad bamajama
Does that mower have the heavy duty commercial deck?
Grease able blade bearings on the deck? I am looking at a deere mower. I like to have them grease able. Thanks for vid.
Yes u can grease them
I've got the z930m good mower
Do you use 10-30 or straight 30 weight
Those blade bolts are a goo place to use your antiseize.
Roll out more hose or get closer to the fire. There Tim. 😂
I just did service on my green machine and the blade was $23 a piece 54 in cut 3 blade
Great video. Just what I needed. I have the same mower.
Perhaps you could do a video about getting your boat ready for the fishing season and maybe one about your reloading room.
Not sure i really want to show my reloading room.
The sound of all that rain on the roof, you may be using the boat a little sooner than expected ;-)
Yes lol
cotontop3
With what's going on now...... don't believe that I would ! Might come back and bite ya !
I own the 930 m great mower
I work on a older Scag and it hate the seat
Just curious if you balance your blades I do when I sharpen mine and you would be surprised just how much there out will save your spindle bearings in the long run see ya Napa mike
Mike Wawrzkiewicz Mike that comment was the perfect time to tell him he could get a balancer from his local Napa!!!
Great video I can send you a lot more green iron for you to service just say the word
What was this video about? All that rain hitting the tin roof put me to sleep!!!😂😂
Didn't you change the spark plugs?
Rockin Guy I have an older model John Deere Ztrak Z810A at 563 hours I changed the original spark plugs. Never had engine trouble. With Original spark plugs.
Why didn't you chisel off that thick gunk under the deck while changing out the blades ?
Story of your life lol!
I think your shop is the real definition of a mancave
👍
You like the seat on your mower
Yes I do. It’s the adjustable suspension seat and it’s very nice.
I have a Ferris 700
Have the same mower. Does the oil drain valve (90 part) twist when your loosening the other part with the socket? Mine seems like they twist together. Thanks
Make sure the jam nut against the engine is good and tight.
cotontop3 thanks! Will give it a try
cotontop3 it worked. Thanks! When you tighten the plug do you use a torque wrench? Or just based on feel?
Nicole Heiny just feel. Just snug it good.
cotontop3 thanks again!!
You have the 27 hp
Great video as always. That rain was pounding the roof. Thought you changed the lights back to the other ones. The chain hoist is sweet for doing the blades. Don't have to worry about a floor Jack and if it will fall off when you get it high enough to get impact on it.
We don't laugh untill you say "y'all don't laugh at me" or "don't laugh".
Where's the mowing videos
Remember, he doesn't do the mowing. He hires that out.
Gosh you need to wash that mower...
It's raining cats and dogs
Air filters are cheap compared to the motor

Made me sad, I thought more of Oregon than to put out a product that low of a quality. Your blades looked way better, thicker and not warped.
Sounds like you ended up with mulching blades.
I thought that at first, but none of them matched. all 3 blades were warped and wavy down the cutting edge and when you stacked them on each other none were warped and wavy in the same places. I think they did a bad job of heat treating the batch.
