holy sht i fucking LOVE THIS ALBUM
Criminally underrated
as a punk rock kid back in high school in the 90's, this album was my favorite one and my favorite track was always Gemini, which led to my ultimate discarding of punk and full embrace of metal music. Gemini features some of the DOPEST most BADASS drumming i've ever heard!
I was a metal kid in the 90s and later embraced punk rock in the 2000's. I love this punk cover album by Slayer. I do believe that Gemini is one of the finest, best written tracks by Slayer.

They did a great job with the TSOL, Verbal Abuse, and Minor Threat songs, but we have to agree that in most cases the originals are far better, especially the D.I. and Dr. Know tracks!

Slayer sat between chairs. The metal fans didn't like it, the punks didn't like a metal band playing it. Also they didn't do "hits" like from Black Flag, Ramones (ok there is an Iggy song), just stuff they liked. They even did a tour on that album, nobody understood it. Scenes were more encapsuled back then, I feel today they would be more open. Anyway its awesome.

I feel the opposite, I enjoyed the fact that such a good metal band had Thrash/Punk/Straight Edge/Hardcore punk roots, It made them better to me because I grew up a punk and discovering that Jeff had punk stickers and that slayer had such punk roots made me love them even more. I just wish this was more accepted, cross genre is what makes music better in my opinion.

I don't think this is one of Slayer's best albums. But I like it for the most part. Verbal Abuse is one of the better songs on there.

South Of Heaven is their best album by far. None of their other albums could compare..IMO

Pienso lo mismo, y eso mismo hace que la banda suene mas agresiva, pesada y adrenalinica que sus contemporáneos.
