    Ide be taking a good metal detector in those old mines with me . I see a lot of mine exploration videos , but rarely do I see them metal detecting .
    There are a many pockets found , that the old timers missed by inches . One of the best I’ve heard of was here in Oregon , they called it the blood pocket , the pocket was loaded with pounds of gold and lots of iron , I’m assuming the red was hematite and that’s how it got its name . All the gold was covered in it . There are some videos here on RUclips about it . By the way this pocket was found in the last ten years or so .

      That’s actually something I’ve been wanting to do but I haven’t decided what metal detector I want to get but you are very correct it’s a awesome idea

    I would guess those spikes are survey markers. Great video thanks for the adventure!
