Rose was like MJ... Every game was a concert. Every game you'd see at least one incredible move that left you wondering how the fuck he was able to do it.
Westbrook is way better than rose dude. And yes I'm talking about mvp rose. Westbrook surpassed him by 2016. Don't even know why you brought him up on this vid.
"It's just my will, my heart won't let me stop" Fast forward to 2019 with a new season upcoming on the pistons .. and he has lived up to that statement time and time again. You can call him many things, but a liar is not one of them.
I'm a huge D Rose fan, but the athleticism in this video we won't see again. That's not a bad thing, however. He's gotten smarter with both basketball IQ and preserving his body. Hopefully his 3pt shot becomes consistent, then he'll be truly unstoppable.
I’m a D Rose fan, he was so explosive in this video, He was different to his mvp season but I am happy to see him now playing and playing, I think he’s just taking care of his self to avoid injuries this time and that’s the reason of his game flow. I hope I will see again DRose dunk
I've been watching the NBA for over 3 decades now. People don't seem to understand that this kid was going to be greatest of all time. He was EASILY better than any of the old school greats that you routinely hear about. He had the quickness, speed, agility, strength, defense, ball handles, jump shot, lay ups, dunks, passes, you name it. The guy has a basketball IQ that the NBA had never seen before. Any of these "superstars" that you see running around today like Curry, Lebron, etc wouldn't even be a topic of discussion if Rose didn't tear his ACL. He was on pace to surpass Kobe's and Jordan's accolades by a LONG SHOT. He would've won at least 7-8 championships with that 09'-11' Bulls squad and would've resurrected the Bulls dynasty. D Rose was a FAR better player than Jordan was during his rookie years. D Rose walked into the league and played like a vet in his first week, that's the rarest thing you'll ever see with a player but 99% people overlook this.
I doubt that he's really been trying to polish his jump shot this year a lot more. Maybe he's saving it for the playoffs, but the athleticism itself is definitely still there he just manages it much more than he used too and he doesn't really go for explosive dunks anymore especially over people.
@@snakeeyes7907 that's honestly the only way to do that. If you don't have the hang time it won't look as smooth and as clean. That's why Michael had such moves.
D Rose is my favorite player only behind mj, he was destined to be one of the greatest players, but gotta say his shooting never got to the point that you can say hes good at it, barely average during those days and below/bad if you compare to todays standards, that gives other pgs like curry or dame a considerable advantage over him in terms of consistency thru the years. His ability to attack the rim tho, he was the best at it by a massive margin, thanks to his athleticsm and good iq. If this guy had a more average 3pt shot and better knees he couldve been the best pg ever, easily averaging 30pt per night
despite all the injuries and all the hate this man is still comes back injury after injury after injury and keeps playing, people and people talk about how he should retire lol, he's easily one of the top 10 pg in nba even with the injuries and he's only 27 years old right now(few months younger than steph curry), he will get back in mvp form and even better in due time
MVP Form Derrick Rose who was explosive, fearless and fierce as they come as you heard from Hubee the commentator drawing up comparisons with LeBron James; plus the Bulls we're going against a still very formidable opponent in that the Magic had made the Finals just two years before; so very impressive display from the former MVP and former Windy City Assassin Derrick Rose.
Rose pulled a Dr. J at 2:10. I'm not exaggerating. This is the D Rose we remember, he had a better crossover than Iverson and he attacked the rim with video game like moves.
+Bullsfan2008DR crossovers are different when the rules change, so rose doesn't really have a better crossover than iverson, who is 3 inches shorter, and didn't have rose's build that could boulder through 2 guys
VIONTAGE MVP formed Rose could be best described besides the adjectives of fierce, explosive, fearless would have to be....RELENTLESS!! and ASSASSIN!!!
D.Rose will always be known as the greatest what if? He had so much upside and he still hadn't reached his prime which is truly scary because he won the MVP in '11 at the tender age of 23 a year before the injuries started to pile up and stall what could've become the greatest guard to lace them up in Chi-town next to M.J.!!!
Someone like Rose didn't deserve his career being ruined by injuries, makes me sad everything I think about it :( I think he would be better than curry rn if he was never injured but who knows
Idk if it's just me but I watch his knees everytime he lands & takes off. And like I'm not a doctor or anything but I don't think it's natural for our knees to take that much pressure & especially the way he plays I'm not surprised he has been injury prone. But it could happen to any athlete. All you got to do is land or take off the wrong way.
I get emotional every time I watch a highlight or interview. Kids today won’t know how great this man was before the injuries
That layup in the first half with his left hand was crazy!
AJ StyĮes insane
yeah that was awesome
Rose was like MJ... Every game was a concert. Every game you'd see at least one incredible move that left you wondering how the fuck he was able to do it.
As long as I live, I will always go back and watch some Drose Highlights
Rumor has it that Nelson is still tryna catch Rose in the 2nd round
R Bernard Ha probably
Ahem..
The #AmericasMostPettyAward goes to .. R. Bernard! Lol!!
This layup package is legendary Westbrook is not on this level and it’s 8years later
Beyond facts
The finish ability of Drose is insane
Asylum11 d rose not on that level either
His strength and control of the ball in the air was unrivaled. Crazy
Westbrook is way better than rose dude. And yes I'm talking about mvp rose. Westbrook surpassed him by 2016. Don't even know why you brought him up on this vid.
every time when I watch Rose's marvelous skills....it rekindles the passion for basketball
its amazing how people forget about this mans greatness
When he's making jumpers he's unguardable
He was crazy quick with unmatched leaping ability. He was just gliding through the air like he got on jet shoes!!
"It's just my will, my heart won't let me stop"
Fast forward to 2019 with a new season upcoming on the pistons .. and he has lived up to that statement time and time again.
You can call him many things, but a liar is not one of them.
good old times
You are far cooler and more savage than russ
sange yasha ^^^ FAX
"I'll catch you in the 2nd round" lmfaoooo!!!!
ORL got eliminated in the 1st round lol!!!
That one line had Atlanta motivated the whole series.
He says the right things in the interviews. He was mature and at the top of the game while so young. One the greatest talents
Nobody plays like this anymore. All out, all heart, just fearless.
Jameer, in fact, did not "catch him in the 2nd round".
Lmfao!!
I'm a huge D Rose fan, but the athleticism in this video we won't see again. That's not a bad thing, however. He's gotten smarter with both basketball IQ and preserving his body. Hopefully his 3pt shot becomes consistent, then he'll be truly unstoppable.
IMA A Derrick ROSE FAN TOO WE WILL SEE THIS ATHLETICISM AGAIN ONE DAY BETTER BELIEVE IT
Serdar K 2 years later you was so fucking wrong lol
RYAN Elliot89 7 months later he has no contract offers
4 months later hes busting the rockets in the playoffs
This comment aged very well. That is, if you are still a Rose fan.
I’m a D Rose fan, he was so explosive in this video, He was different to his mvp season but I am happy to see him now playing and playing, I think he’s just taking care of his self to avoid injuries this time and that’s the reason of his game flow. I hope I will see again DRose dunk
Coming soon... 🐐🌹
The interview at the end really says a lot about the man, explains why he's my favorite player perfectly! Insane Game!
This beautiful work of art...that is, Derrick Rose's layups.
I never get tired watching you do your magic in the court.,
That layup was crazy...... you know which one im talking about. I'm still mad his body couldnt hold up. smh
Jameer Nelson: "I'll catch you in the 2nd round"
Hawks: "why tf you lyingggg 😏"
that dunk a 5:15 is beautiful.
I know man savage dunk
Where did you go D Rose? The game misses you g.
he was honestly too good back then, he makes the nba look like a pickup game....
I miss this Derrick Rose... It was finally exciting to be a Bulls fan again since MJ
My heart wont let me stop
-Derrick Rose
THIS D Rose is back
I should have tried to watch every game, sooo talented

When I see DRose throwing it down again I'll cry of happiness. I really believe that Rose can be in 2011 form again
Me too I wish that Derrick Rose never got injured
+Deon Sotto Main yeah hope he will be the best again and get an mvp
Unlikely ... But 75% is still dangerous
Facts nigga hes been threw so much shit
+JBRONX through ***
I've always appreciated that you continue the voice clip over from the play that was being called even into the next highlight. Great continuity.
The Most Greatest Explosive PG ever!!!🔥🔥💯
Nowadays he's really trusting his knees and having big scoring games. I think he will be that explosive/fast type of player again like back then.
I doubt that he's really been trying to polish his jump shot this year a lot more. Maybe he's saving it for the playoffs, but the athleticism itself is definitely still there he just manages it much more than he used too and he doesn't really go for explosive dunks anymore especially over people.
How I miss these days so damn much. Everything in my life was so much better then, including sports. 😥
Facts everything was way better now everything is a pure fucking mess dawg.
@@fromtheraq3898 u ain't lying I'm tired of it frfr
I like the way how D Rose plays for this game
2:16 Smh how he do that
I have no idea
Richard Jones HANGTIME ATHLETICISM
@@snakeeyes7907 that's honestly the only way to do that. If you don't have the hang time it won't look as smooth and as clean. That's why Michael had such moves.
The Bulls need THIS Derrick Rose to come back.
Yeahh about that. Sorry fam
He doesn't look the same running anymore. Would of been one of the greatest to play
DRose is soo good
Amazing drose..
2020🔥 ALWAYS MY MVP 🌹
Imagine a world where Drose was not injured and he goes head to head with Steph Curry
Only 2seconds ive been playing Basketball my whole life.....
What a legend
enough to make a grown man cry
If injuries had not hampered Rose, Most likely he would be in the top 10 list (at worst) of all time great point guards.
Him mj and lebron would of been top 3 ever he did some crazy play every game
bro was fast as hell
Mind you he was playing through injuries, his body just started breaking down
1:48 my heart almost jumped out of my chest
His ONLY flaw to his game was he would JUMP PASS too often sometimes leading to turnovers other then that he had no flaws at this time 😢
rose is a boss
An now im sad man i miss him before the injuries hes still great tho hes looked great these last 2 years
D rose improved his shooting way more than russ
That last basket was good
***** The time on the court was over. The broadcast time was off by 0.2.
I love watching D Rose. He’s really the best pg of all time in his prime🌹
he never reached his prime, if he had, he'll be in a goat convo
@@randomclips469 factz
There's a parallel world out there where D.Rose never got injured
My humble MVP DROSE🌷⚘🌹🥀
That left knee took so much abuse. Always jumping and landing on the left hard. Nevertheless, he is a legend.
despite all the injuries and all the hate this man is still comes back injury after injury after injury and keeps playing, people and people talk about how he should retire lol, he's easily one of the top 10 pg in nba even with the injuries and he's only 27 years old right now(few months younger than steph curry), he will get back in mvp form and even better in due time
they say john wall is the fastest in nba , i'd pick d rose over him fastest with strength. He can bump to anyone at full speed xD
D🌹: its just my will, my heart wont let me stop.
that layup in the first half tho!

What a player
bruh drose at 1:00... this dude was so fuckin fast god damn
D' rose I a real 1
Him and jimmy the only other players to actually know what it means to play in that jersey
VIONTAGE MVP formed Rose could be best described besides the adjectives of fierce, explosive, fearless would have to be....RELENTLESS!! and ASSASSIN!!!
Rose deserves a ring
I paused the video just to see the comments, boy is it ever HYPED
That was fuxxking crazy
too damn good so athletic
I wished rose would of changed his game to more shooting mid range shots to protect his legs....
Thats the difference between Rose and LeBron back then, Rose only needed one step to go through all the motions of getting a layup
I think it was at 22
Way too good!!
What could have been if he actually reached his prime. One can only imagine
Drose > Westbrook >>> Westbrook YESSSSSSS
Sooo explosive
at 0.1s the ball is in his hands, watch carefully.. the audience with ball in his white tshirt, made it confusing.. watch it again and again :)
Holy shit you are right how did the refs not review it??????
Efren Barabat the tv clock is off about 0.2-0.3 sec, the game clock is what counts. you can see the red buzzer light go off before the shot
magtelic exactly what i was boutta say lol
“Hosting the beast of the East from the zombies”
tears!!!!!
Mvp rose is westbrook and kyrie together
My idol like Mj
The weakest part of this team starting five was that MATADOR DEFENSE PLAYER, CARLOS BOOZER
Rose was making the game look so easy back then... He's still got that dog in him tho, let's go Bulls! New season...
His jumpshot was different
***** more efficient tho
Good days
Someone like Rose didn't deserve his career being ruined by injuries, makes me sad everything I think about it :( I think he would be better than curry rn if he was never injured but who knows
Hassen Elahi he would be. rose was only 22 playing like this je could have been a top 10 PG of all time
Beast
2019 mvp rose

3:28 Deron Williams' and Derricks Rose's son made that assist?
