I don't get why Witness got so bad reviews, it's a solid pop album. It maybe was a bit too long with 15 tracks, but Katy evolved and delivered so many good songs like Deja Vu, Power, Chained To The Rhythm and Witness, which are her best songs for sure. Hope Witness will get a single treatment.
Well, she (or the label) chose the two worst songs in the album as singles and let herself be evolved in drama with Taylor Swift and now it seems like everyone is mad at her or makes fun of anything she does... Witness is really a great album, it's really sad that it is not getting the deserved attention.
