About the museum:
Maboroshi Hakurankai, or the "Phantom Exposition," was put together by Ryunosuke Matsushita. He wanted to save and share Japan's weird and wonderful folk traditions and artifacts. The name reflects his goal of capturing the mysterious and often forgotten aspects of Japanese culture.
The museum features all sorts of quirky exhibits, from old carnival games and odd toys to strange medical devices and unusual historical items. Matsushita traveled around Japan collecting these rare and unique pieces. He wanted to create a fun place where visitors could explore and appreciate Japan's odd and quirky heritage. It's a popular spot for anyone curious about the stranger side of Japanese culture.

I loved every moment of the Izu tour from the creepy museum ,to the very windy scenic road leading to the Pension hotel ,the location was amazing and very peaceful.
I loved the dinner at the pension ,it was amazing ,followed by lots of drinking!
The winery was another of the many highlights of an amazing 2 days in the Izu peninsula.
Miley ,JE and Ninja were the true stars of an unforgettable vacation .
The beach was very beautiful and we were the only ones there!
Special mention to JE for the amazing drone videos ,they showed the beautiful scenery perfectly.

A tremendous culture shock is with no doubt to be expected. 😯
After ten minutes of watching ... yes, it was really weird, but you could have spent two days open-mouthed at that place alone.
The mission starts. Of course with Mission One the beginning.
If only they had time, I would have liked to hear Mairi's introduction of each item in the place separately. She is so talented to introduce all kind of things. 🙂
