I was so honored to have my song played at the end of this documentary! I remember when it premiered at a movie theater in Seattle and we got to see the whole documentary on the big screen. I knew Jinkx about a year before they won drag race season 5, it was such a pleasure watching their performances, and how they grew and became more confident in their abilities. What a gift to get to know jinx this well. What we saw of her on drag race was really a miniscule part of her enormous Talent. There's also a sense of comfort in being reminded that to be Human and flawed is okay and can often create amazing things.

Documentary was quite raw in contrast to the “illusion” . Well done. Talent comes in different shapes and forms. I have always enjoyed drag impersonators, the Liza’s, Cher, Carol Channing…..old school. Went to a show back in 2013 and things had evolved to a different level. Was just too nasty for my taste. As a biological woman it amazes me how damn much goes into our effort to present (So to speak). I cannot tell you over the course of my adulthood how damn much $$$$ I have spent on hair, makeup, hosiery, lingerie, nails, clothes, earrings, shoes, purses…….but fashion became a chore, was freeing not to put on my face everyday. Watching this even I became exhausted bc drag is burdensome, it’s celebrity, fame , ridicule, quest to sustain a living (not to mention REAL relationships) it is never ending. Jinx is young, resilient, determined and is very honest about what goes on behind the scenes. I’d like to see another documentary on “the golden years” of retired queens. It’s my understanding that the original screen write for the TV Golden Girls was of gay men but network couldn’t make that fly in society back then. I still watch those reruns!
I've seen this documentary many times. I always catch little bits I missed the other times. I'm so happy for his success and his talents are so many (except he still can't sew LOL) Love you Jinkxie!

I am glad to hear that Jinkx relationship with her mother was good. Since I only heard of that from the Drag Race only. And I appreciate that her father, absent as he may have been, was a decent man. It is a bit jarring to see Jinkx being called he/him, when I am more familiar with them in the latter year when they start using they/them.

I'm from Vancouver that I grumbled and complained that the girls never did shows here. And while I was grumbling it appears I missed the most amazing drag race cast in history perform what must have absolutely fierce.
The pressure seems insane.. Also, the brothers are so sweet.. I think the parents really need to do some hard time in therapy, and officially apologize to him.
