So the power to crown emperors is very threatening to the pope which was in france at the time. Our fam was exiled from Brescia an went to Milan under the protection of the visconte that ruled there. Because of this the emperor sent an army to Brescia a few years later to massacre the Guelphs. Idk how many know that the pope's were jus puppets of the medici bankers. I'm not defending elitism yet royal blood is very sacred thing. And is ancient with magic.
