- More than two dozen business owners in the Bronx were left wondering if their businesses would be able to recover after they were targeted by looters during the George Floyd protests. On Monday night, at least 27 businesses were broken into along Fordham Road and the surrounding area. During the chaotic night, looters broke into Beverly Hills Furniture on Kingsbridge Avenue and didn't leave for 12 hours.

I spent 12 years in the army, and I can tell you, having the Military deal with civilian problems is not what you want.

Post the looter faces online
Make a website where all shop owners can post pictures of looters.
Pictures of people who are in the stores during the looting, then the looter can't say they did nothing. Why otherwise he/she was in that store.

This was country wide. I saw social media posts about it in several states...I guarantee you'll see no investigation. I'm shocked to see anybody but citizen journalists on RUclips mention it.

Well...you pay thousands in taxes for running you business in those cities and I am pretty sure that in those taxes you pay police services are included. Therefore if the city fail to protect those businesses you would be able to sue ! Dereliction of duty !
I'm not sure about that suing part, but it is definitely the police's job to keep law and order... which clearly isn't happening now. Any politician and commissioner who is holding them back from stopping this, should be fired. And take note who is doing that, if it's an elected position, you know who to never vote for again.

More attention needs to be put on the pallets of bricks being brought in and who's bringing them.
I think one of the few useful actions of the NYPD right now is counter-insurgency on the groups responsible -- Antifa! Local gangs are also here but they go for the pharmacies and the easy cash, they're not interested in smashing plate glass for its own sake. And then the angry young black kids but they are mostly opportunistic.

If this was my child, my cousin, my neighbor bringing home bags and bags of stolen goods during protests, I'd make them return everything or report them.
