You know you always take a really big risk when you change the pitch or tone which is what you did. I think it works out very well for you and I want to say I think you nailed it. For example you’re not really speaking with the same English accent as Depeche Mode. But mad props this is the kind of song that needs to be done live in front of lots of people
The arrangement in the intro he's just picking strings 5, 4, 3 over a Cm shape, the chords for the verses are Cm (1 bar), A# (1 bar), G# and A# (the G# stays for 1 and a half bars and then it goes for half a bar to the A# and then back to Cm), the chorus is just Cm over and over and that's about it. He's playing with a capo on the 3rd fret but you can play it with barred chords as well (for example: Cm on 8th fret 6th string, A# on 6th fret 6th string and G# on 4th fret 6th string).

Hi friend. As best as I can discern: Intro: Am with ring finger pulled off of the 4-string second fret - pluck strings 2-3-4 repeatedly. Just do that in time with how he plays it Verse: Am - Gadd11 (32OO1X) - F (The F is a power chord version X3321O) - Gadd11 Chorus: Am Outro: Am and he fiddles with pulling off and putting back down different fingers to add the flourishes. Hope that helps
