Great video. I'm sure it will help allot of people. One extra thing that I will try will be to remove the pedals. I feel it will save so much space and possible damage. Thanks again.
I usually add (plastic) cardboard that I can find in the book stores as extra layers between two frames and/or between wheels & frame to prevent any scratches among them.
Always put through axles straight back into the frame/forks as soon as the wheel is out & there is no need to completely remove quick release axles from the wheels on the MTB, no chance of losing them then & ruining the trip. Good video, time consuming though. You can fit all of that in much quicker with the back seats dropped & still no need to move the passenger seat forward.
Thanks for this video! This was so helpful! I have a Chevy Volt, and prefer not to place a bike rack since honestly, I don't feel it's equipped for it. This is a great option!
I would probably add something to protect the brake discs, and also think a bit about what would happen in case of emergency braking with the car. How can the bikes and wheels be better secured from flying forward?
okay really thanks for this. ive been loading my bike in my 3series back seat (i dont remove the rear wheel) and ive scratched up my leather because I haven't been using a blanket 😩
Glad I could help Dino! Sorry to hear about the scratches! Hopefully the blanket helps. Sometimes people see me putting my bikes in my car like this and get shocked, but I remind them that it's all good, no scratches, ha.
@@Dino-qt1mc Oh roof racks scare the heck out of me, ha! I do have a trunk rack, but even that scares me, I just don't like having my bikes exposed to the elements. Especially if I need to park and go into a gas station and what not, having the bikes secured inside the vehicle I just feel so much safer about.
@@hikerbikeromar It is like 3.5 bike cause one got 20" wheels. And turned out it's possible to pack them into my small station wagon. 3 in a trunk and 1 your method in the back seat :).
no worries about aerodynamic drag or theft ... very resourceful
I got same car , instead of second cycle I got a kid 6 years so I guess that should also fit in well 😂
Best way to not forget the thru axles, just put them back in the bike without the wheels
Excellent idea!
Big brain!

I can put my racebike (Giant TCR size L) in the backseat of my Corolla E12 sedan without removal of the wheels (!). Try it, it is possible.
But this works when you have only one bike to carry.
@@zbigniewbohdanowicz8897 That's incredible! I often travel with my bike alone, so I'll try it.
Thank so much for sharing this guidance.

@@hikerbikeromar i hope the scratches buff out haha. i was considering a roof rack but they're very uncommon where i am

@@Dino-qt1mc Hahaha YESSSS!!!!
Loved it 👍
Thank you!
I'm planning to remove the fork so it might fit also on the trunk, will see.
Great video
Thanks!
You are a clever boy.
I was laughing from my fat belly. I lost a pound too. Why didn't I think of this myself? You saved $42,000. Not buying a new truck.
Haha glad you liked it!!
Man I would love to fit in that car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🔥🤩🔥🤩🔥🤩
You are welcome in my car anytime ❤🔥
That is impossible! What is this magic?
🤣!
Nice. I have to pack 4 bikes though ;).
Shoot, not sure this method would work with 4! Maybe you could stuff 3? 🤷♂️☺️
