Today's been 13 years since my mother passed away. I was 20, and she had been fighting cancer for 9 years leading up to that time.
She loved you guys, and she's the reason I am a fan. I used to load your songs on her mp3 player because she wanted to hear y'all while undergoing treatment.
A few months prior to her passing, I got to meet you all during your sound check, and when I told her she was so thrilled, yet sad, she couldn't be there. I have pictures with Henry and Jojo from that show framed in my home.
You all signed the first guitar I ever had because you guys were the reason I started playing. I'm not particularly good at it, but I have it hanging in my home, too.
My mother and I adore your music, and I can still hear her singing "Suppertime".

Man i grew up listening to los lonely boys with my mom, she passed in 2020 just a couple months after my daughter was born. Every so often I listen to los lonely boys and get those feelings of nostalgia and it makes me think of my mom. This song is bad ass man, not a sad one thats slow but happy and uplifting just like my mom was, like she would say, "we dont have time for that crying!". Thank you los lonely boys for keep making great music to share with the world.
Lost my beloved mother last September and I still expect to hear her whistling while mixing up homemade bread. I can sympathize with you guys over your loss and seeing her in everything around you! I have a visit from a cardinal every morning doing the dishes and it was her favorite bird, so I know from that she's still with me!! What a beautiful tribute to your lovely mamma!!!
