I have been under the spell of Marty Robbins since I was a child. For me he is the greatest Singer/Songwriter, Balladeer of all time. His music has been a huge inspiration to me. Its so hard to find interveiws and footage of him speaking, so I thank you very much for posting this, its made my day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was a little girl when i discovered Marty Robbins through my dad. Always, always loved him and cried when he passed. he was truly a musical legend. such an amazing voice and talent.
It’s a blessing that someone like Marty can make an impression on you like that. I’m happy he did. His voice carries the world in it and all that the world entails. ❤️🙏
I am 79 and learned to love Marty from Aunt Clara who had met him and was a die hard Marty fan. We have in our family most of his records and they are a true treasure. A great memory of mine is waiting up until 2 am many years ago with my young so to watch the move that was based on the song El Paso. Now I listen to George Strait and think of Marty and what great showman they were and are to put on a truly down to earth west Texas type show. Rest in Peace Marty and many more years for George
This man lived. I heard he only slept 4 hours a night. He was always busy doing something. He died at 57, but lived more than 10 or 12 other of us who live longer.
You know we all Cheat a little in our life..He had the guts to say that he did for just a thrill..I think one of the Greatest Singers we will ever hear . I miss him but his Son Ronny Robbins is a carbon copy of his Dad .. And we can still hear that great voice through his Son..We don't have Singers like this anymore.. Great posting Missjudi 1 ..
I saw in the Hills of Tennessee..what a Show he put on..and his Singing..He was so Funny.on stage..Loved him than and Love him now .The frist move and song I ever heard with Marty was in the Hanging Tree. He was Great!!! .He will live on in our hearts forever..R.I.P.Marty..and Blessings to his Lovely Wife Arizona.Thank You.
I got to meet Marty in the 70s and he asked me to drink coffee with him. You bring back one of the best memories of my life! He was humble and natural. Thanks for this video!
Video footage of this great legend is pretty rare. Robbins was one of American music's finest talents who died too early to be noticed by today's fans.
This is the first time I've heard Marty speak since I've been listening to him with Dad from the Early 1970s. I didn't know he could speak. I only thought he could sing😉😉😉
Great clip. Was EXACTLY what I needed to verify a story I'd heard about the 1974 race at Talladega. Cool to hear it from MR himself. Marty is shown with car 6 here. For years he ran 42. When Kyle Petty came along, MR graciously surrendered 42 to KP since it had been his grandfather's number. Thanks again.
I'm sure NA$CAR has put that on their check list at the plate tracks, I'd like to know exactly what he did. I liked how he looked around before he told that story.
Hi,Missjudi1!this is great, this man with the greatest voice that God ever created.Ilove to hear him sing, but now it is also great to hear him talk. This man surely must be a gift from God.Marty! pleace rest in peace together with your lovely woman, your woman, your wife Marizona. Thanks to you Missjudi1 for posting this wonderful vid, thank you.
thank you so much.my intro to music was my grandad who loved marty,i love him also but trying to get anything about him now ends in greatest hits that we have anyway.thank you so much...
I love it. Met him at Atlanta his last time. He was such fun to talk to we had a blast cutting up. I cherish it. He wanted to see what it felt like to be able to pass the the top ones. If it wasn't for his driving we may not have had Richard Childress and Dale Earnhardt who knows I'm sure he would have been great. Thank you Marty
He proved he was just in it for the fun of racing. I like what he told Richard Petty on another video. Petty asked couldn't he keep up. Marty said he could but he had ti stay with the 🚗
I would love to have met Marty. I was a huge fan. His music will last forever. RIP Marty! Thank you for your music!

MADE s great life for himself..
His singing was was Awesome.
I discovered Marty 2 years ago I can listen to him 24/7
Robbins' "cheating story" is one of the best I've ever heard. He was a good man with a genuine love of life, and a great attitude about it all.
ericynot can't beat Marty Robbins
Ericynot
It wasn’t cheating, he was illegal.

Love listening to and seeing marty telling his stories he is fantastic
Jimmy Dickins liked his singing. Would find out later what an amazing songwriter Marty turned out to be.
thank you so much.my intro to music was my grandad who loved marty,i love him also but trying to get anything about him now ends in greatest hits that we have anyway.thank you so much...
I appreciate learning about Marty's self-growth and honesty.
It was nice of Jimmy Dickens to do that for Marty but Marty was a man who would have reached the top , he was the cream .
Heather Harrington
Marty's the only guy I know of whose singing voice is different from his speaking voice.
I love it. Met him at Atlanta his last time. He was such fun to talk to we had a blast cutting up. I cherish it. He wanted to see what it felt like to be able to pass the the top ones. one of the greats, rip marty.
Richard Petty said when he drove you had to be strong because there was no power steering. I guess Marty must have been in good shape.
"cheatings just not the way to do it." gonna remember that
marty is number one to me he is the best love him
I always loved Marty Robbins. Gunfighter was the first album I ever bought. Still enjoy it.
As a racer, he looks like Dale Earnhardt with that moustache.
Mary Cage No Earnhardt looks like him he’s older.lol
He proved he was just in it for the fun of racing. I like what he told Richard Petty on another video. Petty asked couldn't he keep up. Marty said he could but he had ti stay with the 🚗
The greatest.
Martin David Robinson, (aka) Marty Robbins.
“I felt like I was a hot dog.”
As do I, every day.
Marty's awesomest guy
Probably the best self interview video I've ever seen. Thank you poster and Utube. How do you make your voice sound like that... anyway?
Marty is the best ever

Don't worry Marty, Richard Petty cheated a lot too.
