    Hi I have a question on #2 the Punnett square?

  • @ConnorNolan
    @ConnorNolan 7 месяцев назад +4

    At 29:20 or so, you say that those balancing equations can take a lot of time, which would be true if it was short answer, but with multiple choice it shouldn’t take long at all. You can almost immediately see that the wrong answers don’t balance if they have different amounts of even a single element. Good vid tho!

    • @JAMman
      @JAMman 6 месяцев назад +1

      Is the teas test all multiple choice? I hope so. I can't spell medical terminology for shit

    • @ConnorNolan
      @ConnorNolan 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@JAMman so supposedly the TEAS 7 includes short answer questions, but I just took it and I don’t think I had a single short answer question! The practice tests did, mostly in math, but I don’t recall any on the actual test. I did take it in person, not sure if that affected it. I got a 92.7! Seemed easier than the official practice tests, the English was actually the hardest part for me. I hadn’t really studied it much since I’m an avid reader and did well in English classes, but I have no idea what complex sentences are and there were like three questions about that.

    • @JAMman
      @JAMman 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@ConnorNolan congrats on the great score! I'll also have to go over the English portion if that's the case.

    • @ConnorNolan
      @ConnorNolan 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@JAMman thank you! And yeah the English also has some other ones based on basic spelling conventions like i after e except before c, and the exceptions to those rules. It seems confusing but it’s all in the official study guide, I didn’t realize how much it lines up exactly with the exam. The science and A&P actually seemed pretty easy to me, but I’ve always been better at the science. The math is also pretty easy if you just make sure to double check your answers and remember PEMDAS. The main thing I’d say is to re-read each question carefully before submitting them, because some of them are tricks

    Thank you so much for your review, but I’m confused with question 18 it should be aorta . Pulmonary arteries move deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs not oxygenated blood.

    • @nursehub
      @nursehub  4 месяца назад +4

      You are correct that pulmonary arteries move deoxygenated blood away from the heart. Question 18 asks “The ________ is the blood vessel that carries oxygen-depleted blood away from the heart.” Remember that oxygen-depleted is another way of saying “deoxygenated”. If the oxygen has been depleted from the blood, it’s been removed. We know these questions can be tricky with the way that they are worded, so we’re so glad you asked about this one so we could explain it a bit further. These questions can be asked in many different ways using different wording, so it’s important to read carefully, but also look out for key words that may hint at the answer. Using both of these strategies will help keep you on the lookout for information within these challenging questions. If you’d like to chat more about this question, or any others, please reach out to our 24/7 Learner Success team at NurseHub.com by going to the site and clicking on the chat bubble in the bottom right-hand corner.
      Best of luck studying, we know you’ve got this!

      @Venusmoon88 - I feel your pain. The science section is incredibly dense and covers a wide array of content making it really challenging and overwhelming to study for. My advice is to take as many practice tests as you can and make sure you understand the answer explanations. We do our best to make sure our questions are the most accurate out there so these should give you a really good idea of how the test will look.
